I regularly eat at the Cockhaven and never have a bad word to say about the food or the service. One waiter in particular (young man with a red tie) always looks after us and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant has a well chosen selection of wines and the pricing of the food isn't too rapacious. They offer... More

We had our Marriage Service - Reception and Evening Party at this Hotel. All our guests were made welcome on arrival, Food throughout the day was excellent - everything went to perfection. Roy and Mandy the owners are excellant hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Many of our guests stayed over night and were very impressed with the way they... More

I had to stay in Devon on business en route to spending Easter with my mother in Cornwall so was travelling with my labrador Nelly. The idea of 'over-nighting' in a hotel with a dog is always stressful but this place is just perfect! A beautiful old-style hotel with the kindest staff I've ever met. On arrival we were relocated... We have eaten here on a few occassions, food is always excellent. Staff are always friendly and smart. Only draw back is that the owners wife is a bit frosty and off hand. Apart from this I would certainly recomend this venue.

we have eaten here several times and have taken my club as well and i think all agree that for a lunch of under £10 for 3 courses it is good value the choice is always good and nicely served .the owner makes all welcome on arrival in the bar area.

We dined here at the recommendation of friends who chose this over a handful of eating establishments that Teignmouth had to offer. Our waiter (George a young student) was a perfect gentleman who was well-mannered, polite, helpful and efficient. We had a small dog and were allowed to dine in the bar area which made us feel welcome and at... More

We have been here a few times before and every visit has been of the same good standard. The bar in the main. At area is tiny and a lot of old folk tend to clutter your approach which is annoying when you have just come in from the cold. The staff are very polite and helpful at all times... More

Very nice hotel, which although a little old fashioned and dated, has a nice charm. The owners and staff were all extremely friendly both to us and to our dog. We were able to eat dinner and breakfast in the conservatory with the dog at our side. Nice room (11) with 4 poster bed and a huge bathroom. Breakfast and... More

As we live close by, we often visit Cockhaven Manor for a meal. I really cannot recommend this place enough. The food is superb. OK so the place is a little old fashioned but they offer a great menu at really reasonable prices and the service is excellent. Sometimes we think of going elsewhere for a change for a birthday... Our first time at this hidden hideaway and suited us for its location. The owners and staff are very friendly and attentive with nothing too much trouble. It was quite clear a lot of regulars from outside the village visit the Cockhaven and are well satisfied; always a good sign. It is not a four star hotel for sure and... More
