Called at pub for lunch and was very impressed by warm welcome from staff and a very tasty and beautifully presented meal (I had sea bream followed by crème caramel). Good level of choice on menu. It made my day - thank you :-)

Stayed for 1 night - lovely room and bathroom, very clean and stylish. Ate in the pub part of the hotel as there was more atmosphere - food was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely situation in the old village of West Wycombe, just 10 minutes off the M40. Large car park at the back and a very attractive... More

As you enter the inn you drive thorough the old coaching entrance over the cobbles, into a good size car park next to a pretty beer garden. The room was very charming and had obviously recently been re-furbished and immediately impressed the other half. The bathroom wasn't as nice as the room and unfortunately hadn't been refurbished yet, but was clean... More

Great little pub hotel with friendly staff, my room was too hot as its right above the extractor fan from the kitchen so don't recommend that one, but otherwise I had a nice comfortable stay here. The rooms were a bit dirty/outdated in general.

History buffs and lovers of the best quality fresh food cannot fail to be impressed with this gem. With its relaxing atmosphere and superb menu, which is changed daily, this restaurant is not to be missed at any cost. I had grilled salmon in a mouth-watering crab sauce which simply melted in the mouth and thIs was followed by summer... More

As a family of four we arrived here for lunch on a Saturday. We were impressed with the overall feel of the establishment which has retained it's old world feel. The service was ok, but nothing to write home about. The food was very good and well worth the money.

Hotel was OK and comfortable enough for £65 . Service at breakfast was appalling - 25 minutes for a sausage sandwich - we were the only guests in the restaurant . The chap with the fair hair who served us breakfast and checked us out was pretty incompetent . We Booked through a hotel booking agent - when checking out... More

After dashing about Cornwall for several days, we ended our stay in UK here at one of the most charming spots! Very old and venerable establishment, I felt like I was at least in a Dickens novel--funny crooked roofs, wonderful stone foundations, plaid carpet in the foyer and stairs, a charming and friendly bar and dining area where we were... Lovely place! Great atmosphere! We stayed here one night with our three children (13,11 and 5) who all enoyed the old house and the stories of the place. The food was excellent as well as the service. Nearby is the Hellfire Caves which are also worth a visit.
