The hotel is a beautiful historic building and the rooms are clean and lovely. The breakfast is outstanding and served outdoors in nice weather on the terrace or patio. The location is quiet, just far enough from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to beach and waterfront. The single drawback is the lack of a private bathroom.... More

Buyukada itself is a great place to have vacation, and the location of the hotel is fantastic, 10 mins walk to the pier, the restaurants, the local markets etc. and the private beach, so basically the location is very central. The staff is quite friendly, in fact it is a family run hotel, so basically they are the owners. The... More

Ecclectic, funky but not up to standards.....too expensive. Shared bathroom..the building may be historical but it is not really good for a hotel. İf you stay at Buyukada, choose a place on the seaside with a view.

We ate at the terrace of this hotel on our day trip to the island because of the charming appearance of the exterior. The host was charming and relaxed. He said his wife was going to cook the lunch so we anticipated a lovely lunch. The salad was fairly good - small serving. My husband ordered the schnitzel - blackboard... More

this hotel is five star worthy, we had a fantastic time. I traveled with a party of 7 including a 8 year old who loved a break from the sun for an hour in the kids club. We had 2 rooms and requested them both pool side but we only got one that was pool side. My experience of both... More

$150 a night for a double room with a tiny full size bed and NO PRIVATE BATHROOM??? I have stayed in some groovy, funky, eclectic places that I have loved. None of them, however, had the audacity to charge $150 a night. This place is a pansyon, a residencial, a hostel...and should charge accordingly. Our friend is upstairs in a... More

I should say at the outset that we didn't stay here. We only ate dinner. We were, in fact, looking for another restaurant entirely and failed to find it. We only noticed this hotel quite by chance and wandered in. There was a somewhat surreal tinge to the experience overall. We asked whether they were serving food (there was a... More

The hotel possesses such a character, but as per previous review the owner(s) need to get their act together and act more professional. This is a boutique hotel and not a hostel. Its prices are also high compare to the service they offer. The breakfast is really poor - they prepare a plate for you that is cling filmed, there... More

I have been to Buyukada more than 10 times and booked 5 nights in this hotel and left after the first night because the facility was so difficult for an enjoyable vacation. It was a booking that allows for cancellation with the first night minimum stay. Here is a quick timeline of that 1 night: Arrive around 8PM, very pretty... More

We stayed at the Anastasia on the adalar islands in early April of this year for 4 nights. While Ismail, and his wife, who run the hotel, are very nice people, they seem overwhelmed by the task of running a hotel, and unclear as to what makes a pleasant stay. The 4 of us, rented two rooms with a small... More
