My boyfriend booked this rural hotel for the weekend as we were attending a wedding. He could have not chosen a better place. The hotel was extremely quaint and quiet and the rooms were absolutely marvelous. From the outside it didn't look like anything in particular but the moment you went in, it was like walking into a different time... More

This was our first time not having booked a package holiday abroad and the choice to stay here was solely based on its trip advisor reviews, so I hope this review is helpful to others making their choice. We specifically wanted a quiet location and not a large coastal hotel in a location from where we could explore a lot... More

The best rural hotel ever! The host very friendly and helpful. We got the room no.4 on two floors with a private sun terrace. The spa and sauna was a nice surprise. The Japanese garden with local herbs was nice to sit in. In the village there are some nice restavrants.

We decided to spend a couple of days away from the rather more touristy parts of the island. VERY glad we did. It's only about 15 min (by taxi, 23 Euros) from the southern airport, so easy to get to. We were heading round the island afterwards, and San Miguel itself has plenty of (local) buses so getting elsewhere if... More

The hotel was a beautifully renovated Spanish property, Every ornament & picture added to the character of the building. San Miguel was lovely with 3 excellent restaurants serving authentic Canarian/Spanish food. So near in miles to the bustling coast but so far away in every other way. Our room had a private roof top terrace with 2 sunbeds which was... More

We had such a lovely time staying here. The minute we walked in the front gate we were meet with the scent of lavender and total peace and tranquility. We didn't feel like we were in a hotel but more a home away from home because the place was so welcoming and special. The hotel is so beautiful and the... More

I've been travelling for about 20 years now, both for work and leisure, and for the first time I feel to write a top-mark review. To my memory, this is the best accommodation I have ever been, in terms of coziness. Mind it, I'm not talking of luxury here, rather of a mix of comfort, small details, and still simplicity... More

A doctor's villa made into a welcoming hotel including an interior garden with a large jacuzzi (hot tempered) in a cellar, and a sunny roof terrace with sun beds, sauna and a small jacuzzi (cold). WiFi Internet is included and works ok unless when many guests try to connect at the same time. The rooms are nice with different standard... More

We stayed at the San Miguel recently for a few nights. The traditional, house has been re-furbished to a high standard, with all the luxuries of the modern world (pool, sauna etc), mixed in with the antiquities of old. Unfortunately, we stayed at the hotel during a tropical storm on the island - the hotel lost power and there was... More

We needed to escape the English winter, so booked our first trip to the Canaries. We chose to be at arm's length from the heaving Costas and Playas, but wanted to be within striking distance should we weaken.... Also we decided to find somewhere in the hills, so we'd be cooler. Despite being told in the hotel that the temperatures... More
