Like being in heaven (not that I've been) don't expect supernatural things. But it's all so natural, the hotel building in itself, the surroundings, the staff, all the nature around you. The singing of the birds all around, the pleasant howl of the Owl at most times of the day and the all natural beauty all around. The whole surrounding... More

Dear Giuzeppe, yours is one of the best feedbacks I have ever read on Villa le Barone: some say it's heaven, some say it's magic, some say it's beautiful ... but your comment on coming "for the most simple things in life" describes what Villa le Barone is and wants to be: a place for authenticity, a place for beauty,... Villa Le Barone is a charming place to stay in the Chianti region. We appreciate the comfort and the historic character of the hotel. The dinners offer a delightful experience of traditional toscany meals and the cooking lessons are a wonderful experience. The hotel provides a lot of well documented suggestions for visits in Toscany.

Dear Alain, thank you very much for being faithful to Villa le Barone and for having come once again to Chianti with Marion. Thank you also for having brought your friends who apparently also enjoyed their stay. Jacqueline and I are very happy you had fun in trying new recipes during the cooking class with Fernanda: Basel Tiramisù is now... More

My friends and I came here in April 2014. I apologize that it took so long to write this review but Villa Le Barone was just too good not to give a proper review. A week doesn't go by when we don't talk about what a great time we had. To start, we came in late April right when they... More

We stayed 2 days when walking from Siena to Florence. Arrived very tired after 27 KM walk and received a room with a tiny bathroom: 1,50 meter by 1,50 meter. We could take the shower (if we would success to enter into it) go to toilette and wash hands altogether. And this room (number 5- don't accept it never) costs... More

Dear Suzy B,, thank you for your direct feedback which I take seriously and answer with facts after having checked, with our receptionist and maid involved during your check-in, the story and the numbers: You arrived after your walk (which I hope you enjoyed even though you were certainly quite tired after 27 kms , and wet as the weather... Villa L Barone is a beautiful villa nestled in the hills of chianti in the small, quaint town of Panzano. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were great. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone planning on visiting the Chianti trails. It's a great place to relax and visit many of the vineyards in Chianti.

Dear Tony C, thank you for having come to Chianti and enjoyed the many walks one can take around the vines and olive groves surrounding Villa le Barone. Thank you also for taking the time to review our hotel. On rooms, all rooms are very well taken care of, but I take advantge of answering this feedback to suggest to... More

We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reivews and we really enjoyed our three night stay here. Beautifully located among the Chianti hills just outside of Panzano, perfect for exploring the area (a rental car is recommended). We had dinner twice in the hotel restaurant (36 euro pp) and enjoyed it very much. Lovely gardens, a nice pool, nice room,... More

At nearly $300 per night, the Villa Barone is seriously overpriced. The grounds are beautiful, but the room we had was noisy, dark and airless. The wifi is basically inoperable. We lived in a 4 star hotel for four years and Villa Barone is not a four star experience, by any stretch. If you do book, avoid the restaurant. The... More

Dear Yodatect , Quality is important at Villa le Barone as, even before getting to breakfast this morning, three people of our staff had sadly mentionned your discontented feedback. I calmed them down telling them that Guests are by definition right and that there is always something to learn from critiques. Having said that and thanked you for having taken... More

Le Barone is a tranquil oasis in Chianti. Built as a tower in the Middle Ages and seat of a Baronetcy, the tower was torn down during the Middle Ages and converted to a villa. It is surrounded by an agricultural estate. One could spend days roaming the 14 acre oasis of tranquility and beauty. We had the good fortune... More

Fabulous grounds, beautiful rooms in a quiet location. We loved our days at Barone. Attention to detail superb. The food was a little rustic though locally sourced. Would definitely return for a relaxing romantic few days.

Villa Le Barone provides a comfortable base for exploring Chianti and central Tuscany.
