Our fifth stay at Villa Le Barone. Great location near the lovely village of Panzano. The main part of the hotel is an old manor house with other rooms built into the numerous smaller building in the grounds. The rooms are delightfully decorated and the bathrooms large with the Hotel's own amenities such as olive oil based shower gel. The... More

We stayed here for two nights in late July with a Backroads hiking group. What a lovely place - like staying in someone's charming old home. The grounds are lovely, including gardens and a pool and several hikes start from the property. Honor bars in the main building and by the pool - very nice.We enjoyed our one dinner there... More

My husband and I have been coming here for several years now and each time we have enjoyed a wonderful stay. We never tire of the beautiful views, well kept grounds and tranquility. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is plentiful and delicious. The rooms are spotlessly clean and are all different in a characterful way. The reception... More

Dear Claire M, when I see a member of our staff falling in the arms of a Guest returning to Villa le Barone, this is for me the best moment of the day! Our faithful and efficient staff comes back to Villa le Barone every year and in spite of language being sometimes a communication barrier, pleasant exchanges happen and... More

Dear columbine, "Finders keepers!" ... if Villa le Barone is what you call "a good find in all respects" we then hope to see you again in Chianti quite often. Thank you for having taken the time to review your stay with us ... your review is brief but expresses all your feelings about us and I would only add... More

Take yourself to a relaxing and beautiful villa in the heart of Tuscany. The villa and out buildings are beautiful in a Tuscan way. Our room was in a back building with a vaulted brick ceiling. The scenery is beyond compare. The dining experiences are gracious and delicious. Take a short walk down the lane to a beautiful old abbey.... More

Dear polly g, not having been born an English speaker I looked up synonyms for "adventure" and found: "exploit, escapade, deed, feat, trial, experience, incident, occurrence, event, happening, episode, affair" ... hoping that the most appropriate and pleasant ones of these apply to your stay at Villa le Barone, since when one has carefully planned a vacation abroad, the last... The grounds are beautiful - natural and well kept without being overly groomed. The rooms are charming, comfortable and spacious. We loved starting each evening with a cocktail in the garden. The restaurant is an intimate experience designed to make guests feel embraced in Tuscan life. Every dinner begins with a fabulous antipasti buffet where the only dilemma is how... More

Dear gfg721, this does it! My wife and I from now on retire from taking care of the promotion of Villa le Barone ... since you have taken the job from us! I guess we shall retire in a nice hotel in a beautiful spot of Tuscany, preferably with a view on a beautiful valley and- if possible- on an... More

Dear 740marie, once is not enough, then! If you made the long trip from Oregon to Italy and Tuscany ... if you had the inspiration and took the time to stay long enough in Chianti to get the feeling of it ... if you enjoyed the place, its food, its atmosphere, its gardens, .... then you really ought to come... We stayed for 4 nights in May 2015. Villa Le Barone is truly exceptional. The location, the villa, the staff, and the food were all above expectations. We enjoyed our tower room with commanding views of the countryside and vineyards. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, both hot and cold, with excellent pastries. Dinners were outstanding. We enjoyed Florentine... More

We have just returned from a 9 day stay at this fabulous retreat. We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the terrace in the main building and intended to visit hill towns everyday. Dear henryaird, I have to admit that - writing this answer- I cannot refrain from feeling a pang of jealousy at your little red Alfa Romeo convertible ... ideal for the winding and beautiful Chianti roads.
