Our reservation isn't until June, but we have already started counting the days. I felt the need to share with everyone how wonderful it made my husband and I feel when we received an email from Barbara Di Palma, wanting to make sure that we were okay after some nasty weather came thru Dallas, TX. this past week. We have... More

Dear Susan M, I definitely cannot take credit for Barbara's initiative but I am sure happy and grateful to her she took it! I don't know if we are a first class hotel, but at Villa le Barone, staff and owners have one concern: that our Guests (we hate the term Customer) be happy while in Chianti and think of... More

My wife and I had enjoyed a very pleasant stay here a few years ago, so returned for a second visit. As before, the rooms were filled with character and taste, the staff most welcoming, and the breakfast delicious. The Villa has lovely grounds and local views, and Panzano is one of our favorite little towns, centrally located to enjoy... More

This hotel is more than a place to stay and enjoy but there is a love with in. It must be our destiny and fortune to stay at this place, we actually booked our stay with the other hotel but we were late and lost in the winding road and the dark of Chianti, believe me it is so dark... More

Dear SWANGSPA, while I am sincerely sorry for the hotel you had planned to stay at and to which you never got, I am grateful to destiny that you arrived at Villa le Barone after a trip in the dark on winding roads. We recently enjoyed a delightful two day stay at the Villa Barone in Panzano. The grounds are well maintained and perfectly lovely for strolling or relaxing with an apertif in the artfully lit outdoor patio area. The Inn itself is charming, with a game room, honor bar room and lounging spaces with fireplace, and comfortable upholstery. Interesting books and periodicals... More

Dear beatinghe, many thanks for sharing your assessment of your stay at Villa le Barone ... I am specially happy you commented loyally what you liked and what you liked less. We just had our third visit to this exquisitely maintained, family-owned villa. The location is spectacular -- classic Tuscany -- but more important is the welcome offered by every staff member you encounter. The rooms are furnished with family antiques and gorgeous textiles, so guests have the rare opportunity to experience a well-kept-up old-world atmosphere, elegant but unstuffy. The food... More

This place is perfect in every way. Spectacular views, spacious room, delicious food and friendly staff. The public rooms in the Villa are charming, especially the bar. The breakfast buffet has good selections of cold and hot food. You can even boil your own eggs if you wish. Scrambled eggs are offered as well, included in the buffet. A waitress... More

Dear mbc019, I am very happy you found breakfast to your taste ... it is sometimes difficult to please all cultures with breakfast!!! Finding myself in Milan on business, enduring the usual charmless, soulless businessman’s hotel with its plastic food and fake smiles, I asked myself: why does it have to be this way?
