Another delightful stay at this wonderful hidden gem of a hotel, conveniently located mid-way between Florence and Sienna in the beautiful Tuscan hills. Before visiting, we always read with interest the reviews by other guests to see if anything has changed since our last visit. Having visited in low season as well as at busier times, we can testify to... More

My husband & I have had the pleasure of staying at the Villa four times and are planning our fifth visit. A 300 year old Villa, beautifully maintained, with elegant antique furnishings, excellent cuisine, amenities and attention to your needs is superb by the entire staff. Our friends have stayed and also raved about the experience. Highly recommend a visit... More

Le Barone is a must stay. It's one of those places you can imagine coming back to year after year. Each of our stays at Le Barone have been memorable. We've been as a couple and as a family, but I can also imagine future mother-daughter breaks of girl friend week ends. It's a special place you would want to... More

I recently stayed at the Villa le Barone for the first time and had a lovely stay. The food is delicious, the beds are comfortable, the setting is beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxing. I and another of our party took a cooking class with Fernanda - if you enjoy cooking, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing this. She doesn't speak English... More

Dear Whimseas, thank you very much for your review. I enjoyed reading the bit about the cooking lesson with Fernanda. As the owner (and English speaker) I often come and help translate what Fernanda's hand and mimick game does not bring across, but I understand I would have been useless this time! Thank you very much for the very helpful... More

My wife and I spent our 5-year anniversary vacation here for 3 nights. The drive in was a scenic adventure - so relaxing. The upper room gave us a spectacular view, and was very comfortable. The linens were first-class. It felt like we were sleeping in our own castle. The restaurant was fabulous. Breakfast and dinner were both well done.... More

Dear Tom W., many thanks for your kind review on Villa Le Barone and on the helpful tips you give to potential visitors. Yes, it's always good to inquire with Reception (info@villalebarone.com ) if you have any doubts about your reservation so that you avoid any surprise ... except good ones of course! If I may just make a small... More

This was our third stay in Villa le Barone and it was again EXCELLENT! Perfect hosts, fantastic team, great food, same high standard as before. We enjoyed an amazing cooking class, with chef Fernanda, what a joy, a real bonus to be able to look into the heart of good Tuscan cooking! And of course..... we wll be back! More

The count and countess who own this property have done a wonderful job in remodeling this villa, a jewel of a place to stay, and they were often on hand themselves to offer warm hospitality. Great food in the restaurant, nice pool, beautiful rooms with unbeatable scenery of Chianti vineyards, a 5 minute walk to the ancient and active church... More

We love this beautiful rustic Villa situated in the hills of the Chianti wine region. It's got the comfort of home, with friendly staff, wonderful food and gorgeous views. As a family we truly enjoy ourselves when we have stayed here. It's a great central location to get to other places of interest in Tuscany/Florence. Don't miss it! More

My wife and I spent 5 days at La Barone and COMPLETELY enjoyed our stay. We stayed in room 24 which was remodeled this past year and it was perfect! The grounds were beautiful. The included breakfast would cost at least 25 euros per person and was excellent! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Panzano was within a hr... More

We all enjoyed the rustic charm and the warm hospitality of this countryside villa. We felt very welcomed by the reception though the friendly housekeepers who took us to our rooms didn't speak English and sent our family of four to two rooms on the upper and ground floor, while another couple in our group got to be in the...
