Good location, horrifically overpriced. Food average....rooms very small. Staff helpful, but seem to want you to eat at Le Barone rather then wonder and find wonderful local restaurants. So many places in the area to choose from why stay there?

Dear 1Mack, note received! Ice bucket dumped on my head! Thank you for writing! Sorry, I am just being influenced by your telegraphic style. I can't prevent you from finding Villa le Barone over priced or food average, everyone having its own experiences and tastes. I would just like to comment on room sizes: we are not at Ramada Inn... We returned last week from a 10-day trip to Italy. Sandwiched in between our visit to Venice (3 days) and Florence (2 days) were 5 heavenly days spent at Villa Le Barone. Oh my, what a lovely place! On the day we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff. They made sure we were settled and comfortable,... More

Dear bluekayak, many many thanks for your enthusiastic review. It seems that you were pervaded by the spirit of Le Barone and fell to its charm! I am very happy if we could contribute a bit to a nice holiday in Italy. I would like to reassure readers, though, that - even if your room reminded you of your gradmother's... More

We returned to Villa Le Barone after 8 years and found the whole experience was even more delightful than we had remembered. This is a beautiful boutique hotel - it has great charm, wonderful views, peace and quiet, friendly service, smiling staff and really good food - what more could you want. We stayed in one of the garden rooms... More

We stayed at Villa Le Barone in July and despite the busy travel season found the place peaceful and a perfect escape for relaxation. The only problem we had was we didn't stay there longer! Definitely worth going if you value beautiful surroundings, traditional setting, good food. The village nearby is very quaint and offers everything from a celebrity restaurant... More

Dear MMP88866, thank you for having stayed at Villa le Barone and having taken the time to write about your experience with us. Let me totally agree with you (and this not only for my personal interest :=) ) on the fact that one night is not enough to get into the ambiance of Villa le Barone, discover the garden... More

Villa Le Barone is a fantastic place to stay and explore Tuscany. Definitely has an upper class vibe with the sign at the pool asking for silence! Not somewhere I would recommend for kids but for adults it's great. The tennis court was available every time we wanted to use it and the views from it are spectacular. The owners... More

Dear Travlisto, I am very happy Villa le Barone charmed you, Yes, we are in a very beautiful spot of Tuscany and yes, the Villa - that contrarily to what you say- did not undergo great restoration, perfectly integrates the landscape by being externally and internally so very Tuscan. On being perfect - as the title of your review reads... More

We booked this hotel last minute, traveling with a baby, and we received a very nice welcome at Villa Le Barone. The hotel is located in Panzano and offers a stunning view; the swimming pool and garden are just perfect to relax. It is a very quiet place to enjoy a luxury Chianti break. The room we had was a... I stayed here with My Family (4) for two nights for our 25th wedding Anniversary. The facilities are immaculately maintained, The views are very breathtaking. We were a family of 16 who enjoyed the 3 nights we spent at the villa. The children felt as if they were home. They played ping pong, tennis and swam. It was a restful stay between visiting Rome and Venice. The views were amazing. It would have been helpful to have a taxi service as we did not have... More

My husband and I spent a week at this lovely property in the Chianti region of Italy. There are a variety of rooms to choose from. We were in room 23.
