Set among vineyards and olive groves this is a lovely spot with great views and excellent amenities. The pool is awesome and gardens well tended . The team led by Monia keep the place moving and they offer help and advice on local restaurants and trips. It is next to the working winery and the wines are good too! Wifi... More

Monia, the estate proprietor, took me, my husband, and my sister-in-law on an incredible hour long wine tour of her family estate. We spent four days in Tuscany and looking through our pictures, the best panoramic shots, by far, were ones we haphazardly took from Villa Il Palagio. We did not stay at the villa, although we wish we had!... More

We had the luck of spending 4 nights at this lovely villa , unfortunately the area had a 50 year rain storm on the day we barely made it to the villa , so things were very hectic ! This is a villa , not a B&B so you need to bring your salt pepper and everything to cook with... More

We have been to Panzano on 3 separate occasions, but this was the first time we stayed at Il Palagio. We were 2 adult couples and we rented the apartment La Torre. It has two bedrooms each equipped with its own bathroom. The shower in the first bedroom is quite small, and the bathroom in the second bedroom is up... More

We stayed at Villa Il Palagio for a week and we had a great time. This is a wonderful, luxurious place. Here you are in the heart of the Chianti, amidst the vineyards and olive trees. You really can't feel more Tuscan than this. It's a ten minute walk to Panzano, in itself one of the most pittoresque towns in... More

This is a beautiful property owned and operated by wonderful people. Only a 15 minute walk from town where we could dine or grocery shop for cooking in our fully equiped, self contained kitchen - dishwasher, gas stove, fridge, freezer, moka, cookware, etc. The beautiful grounds are vast and cater to vacationers with a swimming pool, gardens, comfortable lounge chairs... This was a life long dream for 2 members of our party turning the big 50. Looking out from our terrace (la torre unit) was like stepping into a postcard. This is one of 5 units in a 1600 year old stone villa with modern conveniences. Monia, Franco and their hard working staff Laura and Ella looked after our every... More

Staying at Il Palagio was recommended to us by a friend but you never know for sure till you get there...and we certainly weren't disappointed! In fact, we were amazed...a 12th century stone villa set amongst vineyards just outside a delightful and friendly little Chianti town...paradise! We would definitely recommend Il Palagio to anyone who is looking for a relaxing... More

My sister and I were looking for that perfect little place in the countryside for a week and we found it at Il Palagio. It's ideal as a central location to visit and sightsee the best of the Chianti region, quiet and peaceful after a long day. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and easy.... This was our first visit to Il Palagio and it stole our hearts. Breath taking views, beautiful location, superb wines, ideally located for visiting the whole of Tuscany and more. Day trips to Florence and Siena are easy. There is a bus stop just around the corner. And most of all: Monia and Franco are fantastic !
