After returning from a 16 day trip in "Bella Italia" (touring the Tuscany area, Lanciano, Pescara, and Rome), I must say that our stay at the Podere Salicotto was a definite highlight of our trip! As we approached it, perched majestically upon a hilltop overlooking olive groves and rolling farmland, we knew we were in for a special treat. Upon... More

Salicotti is a Beautiful, homely and magical place set in the heart of Tuscany. We loved every moment there, long walks, magical scenery...coming home was hard! Silvia and Paulo are fantastic hosts and we felt welcome from the start. Definately a dream holiday in a dream location!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nites in September and had the most incredible stay. We wanted to be more than tourists staying at a large hotel and were lucky to read about Podere Salicotto on line. The positive reviews are all 100% true. Silvia and Paulo could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a... More

This B&B can not be faulted, it is relaxed, and every amenity works to perfection. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. It is very quiet. The pool is divine and welcome in the rolling hill side after the heat of the day. The swim with a view over the tuscan hills is magical.... More

After much research into where in Tuscany my wife and I wanted to stay in order to be centrally located for day trips, we found Podere Salicotto on Tripadvisor and it fully lived up to our expectations. Set upon the top of a hill overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside, the hospitality we received was perhaps the best experience I've ever... More

Although picturesque, we were disappointed by our stay: -the hosts seemed too focussed on enforcing rules, and even roped off the breakfast area as private.Maybe a minor thing to most but it seemed odd and unwelcoming. -although paying a premium, it seemed strange to be charging additional fees for things like making a coffees in the common area. -noise from other... Management response:

Dear Guests, we look forward to feedback from all of our guests, and are disappointed that your stay did not live up to your expectations. Podere Salicotto is a community experience in the sense that we welcome guests into our private home to share in the Italian way of life. The “Private” sign and the rope are not meant to... More

This is a truly fabulous place - made all that more special by Silvia our host. Silvia was so helpful in planning our sight seeing and recommending restaurants. Our room (a self catering apartment) was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished, and roomy. The brunch, all sourced from local producers or home made onsite, provided a great variety of great tasting food... More

What better recommendation can you give to a place but to return. This was our second visit to Podere Salicotto and we have a very long way to come, from New Zealand!! We were welcomed with hugs and kisses from Silvia which made us feel like old friends. Podere Salicotto is a little slice of heaven. Aside from from all... More

I was like a girl attending her senior prom-- I had high expectations. I wanted my trip to Tuscany to mirror the dreams I'd had. To be the same perfect image I saw in picture books and movies-- a tree lined path leading you upon an old world red brick villa, set in a landscape of rolling green farm hills.... More

Podere Salicotto is amazing and the hosts Silvia and Paolo are brilliant. Our stay at Podere Salicotto was the highlight of our honeymoon. Silvia's breakfast's are a delight and Silvia and Paolo made us feel so welcome and made our honeymoon all the more special. Silvia and Paolo always made sure we had somewhere to eat in the evening and... More
