Truly enjoyed the beautiful setting of Podere Salicotto. Great views as far as the eye can see. Silvia and Paolo are terrific hosts with great local knowledge to add to your trip. Centrally located in Tuscany to make day trips to many different towns. We had a wonderful time and hope to go back. more

I don't know what else to add to the wonderful reviews already posted on this site, which are richly deserved, except to say that I have stayed with Silvia and Paolo four times over the past two years, and still can't get enough of the place. The spectacular views, warm hospitality, scrumptious breakfasts, cosy bedrooms, proximity to Montalcino and Siena,... more

I cannot say enough glorious things about Podere Salicotto. From the moment you are on the long driveway up to the farm house, you immediately feel at ease. I had always wanted to visit the Tuscan region of Italy and finally decided on an appropriate time. It was for my 50th birthday. Our beautiful and very warm hostess; Sylvia, presented... more

Until I stayed here I always thought that those clouds painted by Renaissance artists were pure fantasy. Watching the sun go down at this amazing place made me realise that skies like that really exist. Total relaxation is the only way to describe this place. Great hosts and fantastic location. more

This is my first review in TripAdvisor. We have travelled to many places all over the world and this was the first place which ever compelled me to write. This place was pure heaven. You can do as much or as little as you would like. It is full of peace, quiet and extreme beauty everywhere you look. Sylvia and... more

There really are no words to describe our experience at lovely Podere Salicotto. From the welcoming tree lined driveway, to the warmest reception by Silivia and Paolo, (the owners and hosts), to the INCREDIBLE breakfasts and views to DIE FOR, the wine cellar available for guests to peruse, the guests' kitchen and living room, the list goes on....One of our... more

We have been travelling in Italy for many years, we love tuscany - especially the crete sienese and its hill towns - enjoying the fabulous drive to the Abbazia Monte Oliveto Maggiore. I searched and searched for somewhere to stay near to the Abbey and within easy reach of Siena - then we found it! Podere Salicotto is absolutely perfect... more

My husband and I traveled from the top of Italy down to Rome. When we arrived at Podere Salicotto we didn't want to leave, and actually extended our stay shaving off days of our Rome stay. It was very convenient to all the other hill towns Montalcino, Montepulciano, and the hot springs! It was great to take out the complimentary... more

What a wonderful place to stay this is! It is beautifully located, the rooms are gorgeous, the breakfast is delicious, the pool is lovely, and above all, the owners are the kindest and most wonderful people you could meet. I had a wonderful time at Salicotto — Silvia gave excellent recommendations as to places to visit and to eat. Lounging... more
