Amazing view of the ocean and cliffside, the town is great to explore as well very romantic night life with bands playing throughout the night. The hotel room is absolute junk in terms of comfort, you are basically paying a 4 star price for the view. AC doesn't function prepare to sweat in the night. The cave restaurant view is... More

We had stayed in town so that we could visit the restaurant and the room we got was the best in the hotel but the fact that the Aircon didn't work and the hotel owners seemed like they didn't really care was a little off putting.

Grotta Palazzese is a must visit destination not only for its sheer breathtaking views but for its warm homelike hospitality and equisite dining experience. ...loved every moment of our stay ..to be frank felt like everyone's envy ;-)..gratitude and respect for Fisher the GM of the hotel ...his wit and tales kept us gasping for more ..love you all in... my GF and along with a traveling companion had dinner at this magnificent restaurant. We were staying in Bari and took the short train ride to the town where the restaurant is located. We walked from the train station to the hotel\restaurant. It was only a five minute walk. The restaurant is gorgeous in a beautiful seaside grotto. The food... More

Most beautiful view on the water ever! Gorgeous location and perfect for exploring the surroundings. Clean hotel with lovely friendly staff. The room was a little old, the door to the room next door was locked but people kept trying to walk in. We had a slow breakfast with the staff admitting they were in a bit of a mess... More

Spotless and cute , basic but very nice and very Italian . Simple breakfast. Very central . Window view of sea and cliffs from room and breakfast . Comfortable pillows and clean rooms. Would definitely recommend

One of the desk clerks was extremely helpful locating our bags lost by the airlines and even drove us to the airport late at night after his shift so A+ for service. But the hotel itself is old and rooms are small and even Bari is nothing special. Certainly not compared to the west Italian coast. The restaurant is cool... More

The town was a total surprise. It was so clean and such beautiful walks through out the village. Great shops and restaurants. We stayed at the Grotto Palazzese in a room overlooking the sea plus totally enjoyed the cave restaurant. Delicious food in the cave restaurant. We bought wine, cheese, breads and pesto in the village and enjoyed it on... More

I would give the hotel a 2 and the restaurant a 4-5. Our hotel room was a hole. I had friends in college that had crummy beach apartments, and this brought me back to that. Yes, it's at the beach, but it was otherwise kinda gross. Loose floor tiles, water damage so bad in the bathroom that tiles were popping... More

We had a very very bad experience: The site is a big lie, they dont show the reality. Brakfast is served in a old fashion room, service is precary. We thought it wiuld be in the Grotta, but to be there you have to pay 40 euros a plate and is also awful. The concierge does not give the right... More
