Bin there many time and always perfect food and good domestic wine and specialy olive oil made by Jadran. The salad with "salsica" is the king. I recomend this place because of fresh and domestic food made in traditional style and this is not easy to find today around. Never regret the meal there and bin lucky to know this... More

My understanding is that this hotel is about to turn into an old people's home, so perhaps further hotel reports are pointless. However, while the place has many pluses, it is not quite as great as your reports suggest (perhaps its imminent change of function is having an effect?). The building and rooms are excellent; the location is also nice... More

This place was amazing! Situated 3km from city centre and surrounded by vineyards and mountain views. I stayed for 6 nights but wished I could have stayed longer. The apartments are clean, well furnished/equipped and beautifully presented. They have bikes to lend their guests (for free) which was a great way to get around Gorizia. The hosts are lovely, so... We stayed six nights at the apartment and found everything delightful. Clean, good people, a very quiet and near Gorizia and New Gorica. The apartment is spacious and very new, very clean pool, great surroundings and good food. I highly recommend it.

Staying at this agriturismo was one of the highlights of our road trip through northern Italy and Slovenia. This bed and breakfast is located in the countryside just outside of Gorizia (if you are so inclined it is a pleasant walk to town) and within a few hundred metres of the Slovenian border. It is also within easy striking distance... More

Only 10 min by car to the city center, but still a perfect countryside- experience. The day starts with the rooster's wake up call - cock-a-doodle-doo! The eggs you get for breakfast are from the obviously happy chickens that run around behind the house, vegetables and fruits come from the huge garden and even the ham is self-made. The rooms... For Americans, we went off the beaten path and did not go to the Tuscany or Piedmont wine regions, but instead went to the Fruili wine region instead. We are so incredibly pleased we did. Our family of 5 stayed 6 nights at the Silicanum in a two bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living area. The accommodatons... More

This family owned and operated agriturismo on the edge of Gorizia in Friuli features modern apartments with kitchen facilities, swimming pool and spa facilities, as well as breakfasts (included) and lunch if you wish (five days a week) made almost completely from the farm's own production. There is nothing to compare with scrambled eggs made with eggs laid on the... More

We spent 5 wonderful dass at Silicanum. Apartments are huge, tastefully furnished and have completely equipped kitchens. Everything is perfectly kept and perfectly clean. The owners are extremely friendly and nice. The home made food and products are wonderful. The garden is beautiful and quiet, and the pool is very inviting. We enjoyed our stay a lot, and will definitely... More
