What a lovely sea view guesthouse this is. It is spotless, modern, cosy and very welcoming. We stayed just one night as we were on a short trip. Owner made us feel very welcome - asking us about our plans and if we were ok for everything. Lovely bathroom products too - I wouldn't normally mention these things but it... More

Stayed here for 2nights B&B. Excellent food. Best breakfast I have had in a long time. Fab fresh homemade scones and granola. Everything down to jam was home made. Even had kippers on the menu. Had bar food on arrival and that was also excellent. Bar staff and breakfast staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Great value for what we... More

This wonderful guesthouse is located in the heart of the harbor town of Portmagee. The owners are wonderful people, very helpful and friendly. Rooms were small but complete with all the amenities one would want or need for your stay. We stayed two nights to have access to locations around the area. Food was delicious in the restaurant, breakfast included... More

Stayed here in early June 2014. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The attached restaurant facilities were very good and the attached pub quite enjoyable. During our stay, we used the hotel as base as we toured Valentia Island & the Skellig ring. We also took the boat to Skellig Michael, which was the high point of our Ireland... More

On a tour and stopped in to be able to get the boat to Skellig first thing in the morning. Well the rooms are fine and the food excellent. If you are a photographer get up early and go out the back door around to the dock for some excellent reflective images of the waterfront.

I've been to Portmagee for business and I stayed for two nights in this very particular hotel. The room has a lot of space end clean. The restaurant and the pub are simply perfect and the owner is very friendly. I hope to have another occasion to come back.

Last minute decision to stay here - hoping for a trip to Skellig Michael the next morning. No reservation, but they were able to get us a triple for the one night. Yay! Good sized room in the way back. Clean. It was a Monday night so the restaurant was closed, but pub was open. Very good grub - the... More

I regularly stay here with the photography tours that I run. The accommodation is first class, the food is always excellent and the welcome is warm and enthusiastic. The location is right on the pier, walking out the door provides beautiful views and is very convenient as a base for visiting the Skellig as the boats are right there. Visit... More

On a recent bus tour trip to Ireland we had the pleasure of stopping for lunch at the Moorings. We found the food to be tasty and portions very large. Several people in our group shared plates and took to go bags. Favorite dish at our table was the fish and chips. Fish was very fresh and lightly battered. Would... More

i was booked in to the Moorings while on a business trip to the locality. From the moment I stepped inside the door I was made feel very welcome. While it doesn't have a lift the room I stayed in was spacious and very comfortable. As part of a group I had dinner from the extensive bar menu - divine fish... More
