We stayed five nights at the end of December and wished we stayed longer. Elizabeth is great and takes good care to the cottages. Unlimited turf is a plus for heating and the cottages are very clean. The location is close to so many things and perfect for exploration of the ring of Kerry. We will be back for sure!

We spent five days with another family at the Seaside Cottages. The location is definitely the best feature of these cosy cottages that feel much bigger than they appear from the road. Pros: plenty of space for our two families (a total of six people); the kitchen was decently equipped, the living spaces were well furnished, free peat for the... More

Great location in terms of the view. It is very peaceful and tranquil. Owner very friendly and helpful. Cottages were dark and felt almost musty. The cottage needs a good clean lots of dust, cobwebs and grime in the bathrooms. Windows were filthy so first impressions were disappointing. Lawn unkempt and not cut. On the plus side it is very... We stayed recently and found the cottage completely adequate to our needs. The kitchen was well equipped and if it had been warmer, we would have been exceedingly comfortable. The house was hard to heat, but the bottomless peat piles outside helped. The weather was rotten for our whole stay, but the house was spacious enough that we didn't go... More

The cottage is facing Valentia Island and has a lovely view. Even though the cottage is right beside the road, there is very little traffic noise. We enjoyed our stay, lighting the turf fire in the evening was a special treat. The rooms were a little hard to heat, but we managed. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed in the Seaside Cottages for a week. Accomadation was perfect, beautiful stone and timber interior, comfortable beds and furniture, fully equipped kitchen but the real winner was the huge grass back garden leading down to the sea. The view from the patio as the barbie was cooking breakfast and dinner was hard to beat. The owner was very welcoming... More

We, a family of 4, stayed here in July for 1 week. The Old Stones Cottage was extended and the original part of the house contains the 3 small double bedrooms, 1 ensuite and 1 bathroom. The beds were very good quality and very comfy. However the bed linen had a very strange almost sour smell as if it had... More

Stayed in these cottages recently and they were only OK. It appeared that they hadn’t been rented for some time. There was a musty smell in the bedrooms with the whole cottage needed a good cleaning and dusting – cobwebs all over, dirty oven, built up grime in bathrooms. Many of the lightbulbs were not working and the remotes for... More

Located just 3 km from the picturesque village of Portmagee, Portmagee Seaside Cottages is my favorite Co Kerry retreat. The host is service minded and makes you feel welcome. I have stayed here five times in all and when visiting this part fo Kerry, Portmagee Seaside Cottages is the preferred accomodation. Pricing is also affordable. The concept of self catering... More
