This guest house is a 10 minute walk from the pier in Portmagee. Mary could not be more pleasant and helpful. We were cycling and she took care of our bikes and belongings for the day while we visited Skellig Michael. I would recommend Calafont to anyone/everyone.

We stayed here for 2 nights, Mary was an excellent hostess, she fed us well at breakfast and when we arrived home from our Skellig Michael experience she did everything to ensure wet clothes were dried and we were kept warm. Very clean rooms and facilities. Thank you Mary

We loved staying with Mary in this little town. There's nothing much to the town itself, but we used it as a stopping off point when visiting Valencia Island (highly recommended!) and of course the Ring of Kerry. The bed was very comfortable, and our favorite part was the skylight in the bathroom....it was very soothing to hear the rain... More

Stayed here for one night. Main purpose of stay was cycle. Great location for cycle. Very close to Valientia Island and Coomanaspic climb and walking distance from Portmagee. Very nice shower and bed. Went for the option with no breakfast but Mary still gave us a few bits on Sunday morning. Great hostess. Secure shed for bikes. Excellent value. Would... More

We stayed with Mary for one night in early August on our way to Skellig Michael. We enjoyed a warm welcome, and plenty of local information from Mary. She also booked us on to the boat for Skellig Michael. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was generous and very tasty. A great spot to stay if you're... More

The calafont B& B is a wonderful location, with delicious breakfasts overlooking an amazing sea view and the B&B is only 10 minutes away from Portmagee. Mary was very helpful with trying to book the skelligs for us and showing me an amazing beach near the B&B where you could have a morning swim. I would recommend this B&B for... More

I stayed in the Calafont B & B for two nights. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location is ideal. You are only a ten minute walk from the town, which means that there is no noise pollution and an amazing display of stars on a clear night, just maybe throw in a torch as the lights on this road... We highly recommend Calafont with one of the best views and great hospitality. We stay 4 nights here as our honeymoon and we where so happy for our choice. Comfortable beds with nice smelling bed sheets (!) in a peacefully decorated environment. We also liked the breakfast room decoration; the tea cups perfectly match with the curtains , sofa pillows... The proprietor is a lovely woman named Mary who is sure to take care of you. We were in Port Magee for Skellig Michael and we liked it so much we stayed two days. Calafont B&B was one of the cleanest, most well-kept and enjoyable locations we stayed at – thanks to Mary’s assistance and the lovely area. A little... More
