We stayed here for one night during our tour of the south of crete. Agia Galini is a lovely place with quaint winding streets down to the harbour area with tavernas and shops. The Iro hotel was high on a hill which could be a problem for anyone with walking difficulties. We struggled to find a parking place but did... More

We had a studio room that was very spacious. The hotel is on a side road on the edge of the village. As you walk down the road from the hotel to the main road you see a sign for the beach. Walk down this and turn right. This will take you into the centre of the village. It is... More

This hotel had essentially a double sized room with a small kitchen, bedroom and a sitting area. It was the largest room we had on our trip. There was a large balcony with great views of the harbour and across the sea towards Matala. The hotel is situated high up in the town which accounts for the view but after... More

To reach this hotel we had to climb a very steep road. At the top, we reached hotel Iro and left our car next to local school. At booking I did not expect, that we could be settled in an apartment with kitchen. To be more surprised, we were given also a wellcome drink. Yes, hotel Iro made us a... More

We loved this hotel. The location was fantastic and the balconies had beautiful views of the boat harbor and ampitheatre below. The room we were in was very clean, comfortable, spacious and light. The breakfast served on the balcony was a delight. The hotel was a short and very pleasant walk from the beach and there are many good restaurants... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2010

The hotel is at the top of the village, up a right hand turn before the road decends into the village, so the views from the balcony are some of the best. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a good balcony area that has the sun from 11am, so they do get pretty hot at times. Breakfast is optional,... More
