It was our second trip to Crete and this time we picked Agia Pelagia as we wanted a more central location on the island. The village was quite close from Heraklion and the airport (25km) and we found it to be very convenient to explore both sides of Crete. Regarding Blue Bay itself, the building was modern, really spacious and... More

Positives are 2nd drop off from airport but far enough away not to see or hear aeroplanes (25 mins) Quiet enough for a relaxing break out of school holidays good greeting on arrival (after 10pm) with food kept from evening for us as we arrived. The weather didn't disappoint 30's late may is good. Clean and clutter free. Games around... More

Currently staying at the Blue Bay Resort. After reading so many poor reviews I was dreading our trip. I needn't have worried. I fear most of the awful reviews were written by the picky folk who will do anything to be negative. We arrived 4 days ago at almost 1:00am to find sandwiches in our very clean room. We had... More

For our second time in Crete, we chose an hotel nearby Heraklion in order to be able to visit both sides of Crete. We had a very nice view on the sea as the hotel is build on a hill and our family room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, All-inclusive was good - european and greek food mainly -... More

Visited Blue Bay for honeymoon. Staff were incredible. Food was repetitive and mass-produced, alcohol wasn't free after 11pm and the vast majority of guests were obnoxious Eastern Europeans. Don't go.

We would echo everything that grandmairene has stated, other guests have been penalised through east europeans abusing the "All Inclusive" it is nowhere near "All Inclusive"! when you can only have ouzo & beer, and you have to pay for local spirits, the Entertainment was Zilch! even the childrens entertainment was dire, on offer was aqua aerobics and water polo,... The blue bay resort in Greece we'd booked with you was meant to be four star all inclusive . We had asked for specifics for our holiday following my surgery , ie:no children or adults only area, a poolside where we could sip our all inc cocktails /alcoholic drinks . Not to far for waking around the complex area .... More

The Hotel is quite spread out so unless you are in the main hotel quite a lot of walking also it is on a steep hill so isolated nothing around. The food is never hot and as others have said, repetative The Staff are fantastic wonderful service always smiling and very helpful. The all inclusive is poor as far as... More

The staff were excellent and the best part of the stay. We were initially put in an annexe room or as they called them a bungalow. Pretty much concrete bunkers from 30 years ago re-painted. Maybe we just expect better from our previous experiences and some others may think they're fine but my family refused to stay there. They promised... More
