I brought a group of Canadians to Mourtzanakis Residence and it was an unforgettable experience. Marcos and Smaro, the owners, treated us like family. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The food is some of the best I've had in Greece... it was simply delicious! I have nothing bad to say, except that I wish I could of stayed longer!... More

We (family of 4: 2 children 14,16) spend 2,5 weeks at this beautiful place. Nice people-loving people. You feel they love their place and are happy to share it with you. That makes it a special place. They're helpfull with lots of tips and time for you; if you want. If not: you have total privacy. We slept in 2... More

The perfect place where restore yourself. The residence is based in an excellent location, because is on the top of the street that connects Agia Pelagia to Achlada (more or less 10 minutes by car). You can delight in a great quiet and in an amazing view and at the same time you can quickly reach shops, restaurants and beaches.... More

It was our second stay in Achlada city villas. This place has special atmosphere, very relaxing and quiet. Houses are cleaned dailly, they are very comfortable and spacious. All of them have big terrace with view on the sea and on the ancient Achlada village. I thing every visitor should at least once taste the culinary arts of owners, Smaro,Marco... More

We have just returned from 5 nights at the Achlada Mourtzanakis Residence. It is a wonderful, peaceful location yet not too far from beaches, tavernas and the fast road going either East or West. The hosts, Marcos, his wife and son, are what makes this place extra special, offering good old fashioned hospitality and extensive local knowledge. We ate there... More

We recently spent 3 nights at the Mourtzanakis Residence. The studio apartment was brand new and well organized and equipped. Our hosts Marcos and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the amazing views the fact that Achlada is close to the nice beaches and exotic places to visit. Thanks to Marcos we visited interesting places (e.g. small... More

The place is gorgeous. Very lonely and 10 minutes by car from the sea. The appatment houses are in the mountain side with a wonderful view into the mountains and to the sea. Amazing! The pictures on TripAdvisor correspond to reality. We were impressed. The apartment houses are simple and beautiful. The bathroom is large, simple and good. The friendliness... More

We stayed here as a couple for 10 days in early October. Perfect as an escape from modern life! The situation is beautiful - at the top of a small valley of olive trees looking towards the village of Achlada, the mountains and the sea. The only occasional sound in the morning as you sit on your private terrace is... More

We stayed at Mourtzanakis Residence for the first two weeks of September this year. Staying here is nothing short of perfect if you are looking for calm, welcoming, well appointed accommodation with the most incredible views and sunsets that make you feel very small! Booking a villa, you get more than you bargained for, its your own house, with no... More

I had the best vacation ever in Crete due to the great accommodation conditions at Mourtzanakis Residence, Cretan superb beaches and the great food that could be found everywhere at small family owned Greek Tavernas.
