Great little hotel, nice clean room with balcony. Convenient for the town and ideally situated for exploring the area. Ample breakfast with lots of choice. We were able to obtain drinks from the reception area and pay for them at the end of our visit. Enjoyed our stay.

This was a stop over. arrived late (they closed after I arrived), left early. barely saw any staff. The room was fine, and check in/out was OK. But the wifi (in room) did not work (and too late to ask), and at the earliest allowable breakfast time there was little going on. There was no coffee available and no service... More

Stayed here for three nights in January 2014 whilst attending a family event. Both single and double rooms were large and had more than enough storage space and were spotlessly clean. Bathrooms had a good-sized shower cubicle. Flatscreen television with the usual channels and wifi codes were obtainable from reception free of charge. Breakfast buffet had a lot of choice,... More

No disrespect meant about the title to this review. There is absolutely no problem with the Schacherer as it was well appointed , very clean and in a quiet location on the edge of this small town close to the far south of the Black Forest. We arrived to be met by, I think , the mother of the owner... More

We stayed with our daughter and three grand-daughters in two large and specious rooms. The buffet-breakfast is generous and well presented. The hotel is excellent located for visiting the (south) Black-Forest attractions. The tourist information, where you can purchase the black-forest-card, is 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

A very good location, if you are on your way to Switzerland for example. Not much to be seen, but after all not bad. Although sightly overpriced. For the same price, or even less, you could stay in much better locations (lakes, mountains etc.).

Second stay and still good value for money. Quiet location with parking so perfect for an overnight stay. Short walk into town and restaurants. Only one negative; the pillows were the most uncomfortable and the size of a postage stamp.

We stayed in a basic but clean, warm and quiet family room in this lovely guest house with free parking. The breakfast was a fairly good selection - often replenished - in a lovely sunny breakfast room overlooking a garden. Staff were very helpful and it is an easy walk to a nice downtown area. Dinner at local winery was... More

Property is described as a "3 Star Hotel". However, there is no bar, and no evening meal is available to guests! (it is possible to purchase a bottle of wine or beer, from a "cold cabinet".) The bedroom was large and very clean, but the breakfast was poor, with coffee available from a machine. Property is situated in a quiet... More

A very comfortable, small "guest house". Our room was bright and clean, with a large flat screen tv and modern ensuite bath. The WIFI worked perfectly. We enjoyed the attractive lounge where local wine is offered in the evenings. The breakfast buffet was ample. An attractive garden adjoins the house, which is located in a quiet neighborhood that is a... More
