We experienced the most unbelievable family holiday at Chateau de la Voloniere in July 2011. There were 17 of us in our family group with an age range of 6 to 73...everyone had a ball. Claude, we thank you for being the perfect host, making us feel at home in your home and offer information and advice. You made the... More

We stayed at Chateau Voloniere in July, I've got to say without doubt this was the best family holiday ever. The Chateau itself was lovely, very big and comfortable. The swimming pool, although cold was beautiful and the water was from the underground tunnels. Claude was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome in his home. I would... More

The way the castle is renovated is just exceptional and his warm welcome made our stay just perfect. As with the other reviews we all found the welcome and demenour of our host second to none. Situated in the Loir valley it is definitely worth seeing some of the area and you really don't need to travel far to be deep in the countryside. If we were making the trip down again i would probably fly into a... More

Our holiday is over, we returned to London last night. Why then decide to revisit the tripadvisor site to read reviews about a destination that we had already visited? I know why, for the enjoyment of listening to people describe their reactions to Chateau de la Voloniere and its owner and most hospitable host, Claude. How would you fit into... More

La Voloniere was everything and more than we expected from the great reviews of which i have little more to add, except to say the pool was more magnificent than i had expected! There is a large rockery of cascading water and a further fountain surrounded by mature trees, and a lovely garden which made it a delight to stay... More
