My partner and I spent a night at La Goelette in August 2014. We were extremely happy with our stay; beautifully decorated rooms, free water and wine, a warm welcome and a big, hearty and homemade breakfast. Will definitely come back in the future :-)

We stayed in the pink room with patio view. Although the room was very small, it was well decorated and clean. The patio view isn't worthwhile. On the contrary. Up until late in the night we could hear people talking and laughing through the patio window. Early in the morning we were woken up by kitchen noises. The ensuite bathroom... More

We stayed one night here on a dinner and shopping break. Our (Rose) room was very small but extremely clean and welcoming. The ensuite bathroom was really tiny, with the need to duck your head before going to the loo. My husband found this unacceptably claustrophobic, but for me, the claustrophobic one, it was OK for one night. The bed... More

What a lovely experience, a relaxing, clean, unique hotel with a very distinct atmosphere. The owner was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The room was immaculately clean with tea, coffee and bottled water available in the room. The en-suite facilities were very good with a dual head shower with adjustable heat. The decor of the room (rose room) was pleasant and... More

We wanted an 'overnight' near Calais and thought we would try this little town. We were very pleased. La Goelette is a B&B right on the sea front - the location could not be better. As the place was quiet, the lovely owner Franck upgraded our room and we had a brilliant sea view. This place is quirky but quirky... More

Cannot raste this place highly enough - we have been three times. The rooms are all indivisually decorated and beautiful - so much nicer than the modern hotels that are all uniform and bland. The hosts Mary and Franck are fantastic and couldn't be more helpful, from booking restraurants to offering to let us park our motorbike in their garage if... More

We booked the yellow room with sea view -on the 2nd floor. Expensive but worth it. Fantastic views west, straight onto the prom and beach (no road) - perfect if the weather is right for sunsets over the sea. Room was clean, a good size with modern ensuite facilities (separate wc), a very comfortable king size bed and shuttered windows.... More

I booked a room in this guest house based mostly on Trip Advisor recommendations (the positive ones) and I was not dissapointed. The house was lovely, very individual, possibly very French, very comfortable and the breakfast was first class - as were Franck and Mary - hugely hospitable.... If I have one small criticism (and it is relatively small) the... More

We stayed here during the last weekend of October following a positive recommendation from a friend. The whole ambiance of the place is quirky and interesting. We stayed in the 'Blue Room' which which offered fabulous sea views, whilst being really cosy and inviting. Our Hosts, Mary and Franck, were extremely welcoming and showed a real enthusiasm to make our... More

Our stay started badly! We delayed our arrival until a, reasonable?, 3pm only to discover that we would not have access 'til 5pm (Blame = Booking.com small print being too small!). It was a warm September Sunday afternoon resulting in impossible, legal, parking (Blame = God and other Town planners). Our small 'Patio View' room (one of 3 I believe) had... More
