Were rudely woken at 9.30am by the young lady who makes up the rooms. I had to look up our check out time after she'd walked away & when I found it was 12noon I pointed this fact out. The language barrier meant we didn't get very far but she implied that she wanted to clean the rooms so she... More

B for Basil … Fawlty or B grade (if so it didn’t attain it). Let's start with the positives - staff were friendly and the breakfast set you up for the day. The sink tap produced no water and despite being there 4 nights and requesting it be fixed twice, nothing happened. The room was dirty on arrival - dust... More

No lift and a lot of stairs to get suitcases in. Bar and restaurant closed at 9pm and we were asked to leave and had hardly finished our meal! Room very dimly lit. No signal on Wi-fi although we seemed to connect. Hotel right outside main line TGV station with several high speed trains passing through during the night! No... More

We arrived late in the evening and the overall check in experience was fine friendly receptionist. The rooms however were very dull tired with dismal lighting and cold We ate in the bar which closed at 9 pm so had nothing to do other than sit upstairs. The derelict waste ground opposite where we parked the car was the view... More

Average B&B. Friendly staff. Clean and reasonably comfortable for one night. No tea/coffee facilities and the plumbing was extraordinary! When you pulled the plug on the sink bubbles emerged from the plughole in the bath! No U bend fitted to the sink. Did have Wi-fi though and the evening meal was okay.

Like one of the previous reviewers, we (partner and granddaughter) booked this hotel over the internet for the 16th August after looking at the website, which pictured it as a really nice period 'bijou' establishment. I used to think that there was an old adage that "the camera never lies" - well in this case the camera must have been... More

I booked this hotel via the website as a one night stop over to follow a 7 hour drive. I booked on the basis of the location being close to the channel ports, it appeared a comfortable, clean hotel and the prospect of the bar (the website states it is open 7/7) and restaurant onsite. The hotel also states that... More
