Having tried and failed to find the Logis I had booked. 12850 Onet le Chateau is NOT sufficient.. Pulled up here. Glorious with a memorable meal on the terrace ,great views, and so very very good. With a guvnor who keeps an eye on everybody.

Magnificent building, beautiful suite, but need more furniture! Beautiful restaurant with a superb ceiling, food is fine, but something is missing. Perhaps the chef should not try to aim to high and serve a delicious local cuisine. Service OK, the head waitress?Maitre d' run like mad to sort out the waiters/esses, probably from a local hotel school. The owner is... More

We had a good reveillon night with my family in this understated Chateau. Very welcoming people. The dinner was really nice if a slight bit expensive. The dinner room setting is well thought of with enough space between each table. Cooking is inspired, waitering just perfect. We ordered a coke in the middle of this reveillon dinner and we were... We enjoyed a couple of nights at this hotel, and were in the main very impressed. It was slightly let down by the so-called Junior Suite. Leaving aside the number of steps to reach it (of which more later), the furnishings were rather Spartan, the bathroom rather dated and the 'extra' room had even less in the way of furnishings.... The exterior of this hotel promises much more than the client gets. We couldn't get a room in our favorite hotel but Fontanges had an available suite. The room was very large but was missing furniture. There was a bed, 2 chairs, small side table, dresser and tv. But no where to sit comfortably. This was probably the most uncomfortable... More

Looking at the TA reviews one can see that folk who normally stay at 4-5 star hotels and are accustomed to spending upward 150E per night for their accommodations consider this hotel to be sub-standard while those who normally stay in 2-3 star hotels paying between 70-100E per night, love it. We belong to the latter category, so I have... More

We stayed here in August this summer as we were picking up family arriving at Rodez airoprt early on a Saturday morning. The Chateau itself it a lovely old rambling building with nice gardens a golf course and swimming pool. We were not expecting anything amazing as its billed as a three star hotel. Our room was clean and nicely and... More

After 7-hour-drive from Geneva to the Hostellerie de Fontanges, my husband and I were extremely exhausted. But as soon as we arrived in front of the hotel, we forgot about the long trip we just had. Beautiful and romantic lights on the Hostellerie! Perfect place to have a wedding reception and dinner+party until at 4-5 am! It was just a... More

Lovely old chateau turned into good hotel. Bedrooms a little small (due to need to provide en-suite facilities) but otherwise comfortable. Restaurant very good and reasonable if you stick to the set menus, especially the Menu Gourmand at 24 Euros. And the service was excellent. The outdoor swimming pool looked good. Had a bit of difficulty finding it from Rodez.... More
