We did not stay at Saint Jacques but we did have lunch. It was quite busy in the restaurant and there were few non french as far as we could tell (save the odd pilgrim). We just took the set menu which was very reasonable, had local dishes and they were good portions and quite tasty. Nothing painful about the... More

We stayed for one night in this hotel right in the centre of Conques. Ignore review which says don't eat in the restaurant, it couldn't have been more professional, was full of French people enjoying their evening meal and the food was excellent. The room was very comfortable and overlooked the Abbaye with it's famous windows by Pierre Soulages and... More

Large room, great views, lovely atmosphere, fantastic bath. The bed was good, the room was comfortable. Except for a remarkably horrid dinner, this was a great property. Just eat elsewhere and enjoy your stay.

We stayed an extra night here as a rest day on the Chemin st Jacques and were very pleased. The hotel was well located and very quaint. The room was fine, owners were attentive but super busy. The restaurant was great. It is across from the church and main square.

We had a chance to have dinner at St. Jacques due to the fact that restaurant at our Hotel Sainte Foy didn't serve dinner after 20.30. Terrace was just a perfect place to sit and relax observing beautiful village and the Abbaye. Food was ok, but not something special. The waiter was very nice, suggested good wine. Seems the restaurant... More

Well, this hotel is situated in the very heart of Conques, a wonderful little village worth the inscription in the "One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France". The hotel is a stone throw away from the Unesco-listed Ste-Foy Abbey, one of the highlights of the Routes of St-Jacques-de-Compostelle in France. The price is very good, and we also had... More

Walking the 'Chemin St. Jaques' this was the largest room we had, with the best bathroom and separate loo. We had dual aspect windows that overlooked the Cathedral and the countryside. Dinner was good, service a bit haphazard as they were very busy. The only complaint was that the Manager was very grumpy on our arrival, and said we could... More

Generally sure bets are hotels which are part of the Logis de France network and this hotel is no exception. The French phrase "bon rapport, qualité prix" fits this place well. The location, as others have noted, is superb, with the cathedral a "deux pas" away. Especially helpful because we were able to park our car in their private lot... More

Stayed during a halt on the Road of St Jacques of Compostela. Appreciated the good food, unhurried ambiance, and reasonable prices. I particularly liked the location next to the Abbatiale de Ste Foy at the center of beautiful Conques.

The hotel is very comfortable and the staff friendly. The rooms are fair sized, The beds are comfortable. The prices excellent. The dinning room has wonderful regional food and wine. The location is right across from the church. Views of the countryside are excellent. You have to park your car in the public lot which is a few blocks away.
