We just left this beautiful location, the building and grounds are lovely, intimate and charming. I found the (1* Michelin) dinner a bit overpriced, as the room (double luxury with balcony) which was nice, modern but nothing special. The starters were fabulous, the mains and desserts a little disappointing. The negative point was the massage. I was really looking forward... More

I stayed at Le Moulin de Cambelong for one night as my preferred hotel, Auberge Saint Jacque was not available for the 1st night of two. I had just completed 10 days walking the Chemin de Saint Jacque from Le Puy. A 10 day Pilgrim! The hotel was very good and the restaurant certainly of high quality. Service in the... More

We had a wonderful lunch here on a rather untypically gloomy cool early September day. The food was inventive tasty and the staff were excellent. We met up, in Conques, with friends from Australia who were staying about 50 miles away. We cycled from about 35 miles away, up the Lot.

This restaurant hotel is located in a nicely re-worked old mill right on the river. The decor is surprisingly modern for such a rustic setting. Some rooms face the river and some rooms (like ours, alas) are on the highway side of the building, with a fair amount of road noise. The rooms are ultra modern in decor, and ours... More

I would warn all Americans to stay away from this hotel, it is very unwelcoming to US citizens. We recently spent one night here and could not wait to leave. The setting of the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice but that alone doesn't make the hotel. We were questioned soon after arrival as to whether we were... More

Dear Mister Maglio, We arre really sorry if the stay wasn' t plesant for you. But we do the maximum to make this stay really particulary: you were upgrated in a better room for your weeding birthday. Also, I remenber that at the recpetion we speak together about Wimbeldon, so that's not true when you say that there's no speaking... More

We enjoyed our one week stay, the place is so bucolic and quiet. Spacious room (re-done in a modern art style inspired by Pierre Soulages), view at the Dourdou river and the woody countryside.Just to mention that bedroom and bathroom are one ! Wonderful moments in the restaurant : the seared duck foie gras ! Very good advice from the... More

As such, Conques (Aveyron, France) speaks for itself – the old city is a pure jewel, and hiking / tourism facilities in the area are also really great. The “world of Herve Busset” (as he refers himself to the place) has really two sides to my view. The Restaurant is great – the food is very creative, excellent and also... More

My wife and I stayed au Domaine de Cambelong one night, and ended up going back there TWICE with friends during that Aveyron visiting week-end. The hotel is set in an amazingly bucolic place, with so much charm and calm for it. How about the noise of a river and frogs for "atmosphere" ! Then the old stonebuilt watermill has... More

n the beginning of September we book a gastronomic stay at this hotel-restaurant. The check-in was very courteous. The room was okay and very clean for about EUR 250 per night excluding breakfast (!) but there were no glasses which we could use to drink from. Only 2 plastic bekers in the bathroom. No flowers, no fruit, no minibar. In... More

Moulin de Cambelong We arrived here after a week touring France.
