We had dinner during summer this year and, I wasn't swooshed. Don't get me wrong, The chef is a great technician but his flavors are a little off sometimes. The herb broth he started us with was flavorless and the mountain herbs he put with it let us felt like... "Brebis". The warm brochet terrine however was spectacular, this is... More

Another place we wanted to go back because of good memories, and understanding they have a michelin star the quality of everything should be/ have remained the best. But.. This place shows it can be quite the opposite... First of all when booking (and having paid the deposit), we realized that on the booking form for the package a different... More

On our way to Conque the charming area, just by the flowing river, enticed us. What surprised us was the delicacies and the quality of the "carte" and the different offering: grilled herbs and the like.

My elderly parents (late 70s-) recently returned from France and stayed at this hotel. When the reservation was made in March (originally for 3 nights), a request for a shower and not a shower/tub combination was made as it is difficult for elderly people to navigate getting in and out. LIMITED MOBILITY was implied by this request. They were granted... More

My husband and I travel often and with the greatest pleasure we had booked at Hervé Busset's magnificent Moulin. Our beautifully decorated room with a balcony and view of the river with a superb forest on the other bank, with tables and comfortable chairs to enjoy this view. Happily being accustomed to 3*** star restaurants in France we could not... More

We stayed overnight in the Moulin de Cambelong (April 2013), dipping into the Aveyron department of the Midi-Pyrenees so we could visit Conques - which was really worth the detour. We were very much looking forward to our stay - the website shows a beautiful, rustic windmill which has been converted to a modern, boutique design hotel in idyllic surrounds.... More

It is a little way out of Conques (if walking)and had been advised it was a 1 star Michelin restaurant. Finally found it and was looking forward to good food after 2 weeks walking. The food was good, interesting green forest foliage enjoyed that but surprised it had a star. A little Japanese fusion (love Japanese).

My wife and I lived in France for 9 years and visited the Moulin de Cambelong with its Michelin starred restaurant twice during that period, in 2004 and 2007. Both times we were enchanted by this small, romantic, 9 room boutique hotel and its restaurant, set in a beautiful, peaceful location in a green valley below the UNESCO World Heritage... More

We just left this beautiful location, the building and grounds are lovely, intimate and charming. I found the (1* Michelin) dinner a bit overpriced, as the room (double luxury with balcony) which was nice, modern but nothing special. The starters were fabulous, the mains and desserts a little disappointing. The negative point was the massage. I was really looking forward... More

I stayed at Le Moulin de Cambelong for one night as my preferred hotel, Auberge Saint Jacque was not available for the 1st night of two. I had just completed 10 days walking the Chemin de Saint Jacque from Le Puy. A 10 day Pilgrim! The hotel was very good and the restaurant certainly of high quality. Service in the... More
