My wife and I had long intended to go walking in the Pyrenees. This year we decided to do it and I went on the internet to find a suitable week's programme. Sometimes in life you strike it lucky! We did when we booked a week with Mountain Bug at the end of July. We had a fabulous week's treking... More

Several days after the end of our trip with Mountainbug, we are basking in our memories of the French (and Spanish) Pyrenees, and we are already plotting our return. The three of us (we were accompanied by our very fit 13 year old) went on the Adventurer trip with the mini-trek through Gavarnie and Ordesa. The week concluded with a... More

We stayed in the chalet les Cailloux as part of a week walking with Mountain Bug. Not only was the walking and the guiding by Rob excellent but our stay in the chalet was lovely. Stuart and Warnia were wonderful hosts, our room was comfortable and the food was beautiful. Little things were very pleasurable, coming in tired to fresh... More

Had a great ski touring holiday organised through MountainBug in Bareges. The accomodation in the chalet was excellent, including fantastic food and hospitality from the hosts, Stuart and Wania. The ski touring through the French Pyrenees, and especially in the Neouvielle region, was spectacular, with endless clear blue skies, dramatic mountains, and days of beautiful skiing across untouched spring snow... I am 78 years old, a widower, and I have just returned from a July 2012 fantastic MountainBug Discoverer holiday. We had a group of 8 like-minded people, with very diverse backgrounds, and a warm companionship quickly developed as we tackled new challenges. The chalet accommodation was very comfortable and the food was excellent especially when you consider that within... More

Just returned from a great week in Bareges - not only was the resort top notch in terms of slopes (good variety across the different proficiency levels in our group) but the MountainBug team did a great job of looking after us. Their Les Cailloux chalet is a fantastic base, with fine hospitality from the hosts, Vic & Geoff who... More

Lovely chalet restored to a very high standard by Rob, Emma and family. The chalet and its hosts Vic and Geoff were very welcoming, Vic and Geoff provided excellent food, both vegetarian and non vegetarian. I can safely say that this was the best vegetarian food we have ever been given (probably the best we will ever get). Rob and... More

Stayed here for a week of walking/hiking with Mountainbug. Lovely chalet, great bedroom with comfy bed, beautiful modern bathroom, and wonderful hosts Victoria and Jeff. Good breakfasts, generous packed lunches, afternoon teas, and excellent dinners all included! (except for the hosts' day off on Wesnesday) The guided walking/hiking was extraordinary. The other guests were great. Perfect for solo travellers because... More

Really enjoyed our family activity holiday with Mountainbug. The chalet was really comfortable, great atmosphere and well equipped. Vic and Geoff produced the most amazing delicious and enormous meals and looked after us really well. We stayed in the family suite with two boys aged 15 and 12. Plenty of space and very comfortable to collapse into after a day... More

Vick & Geoff are brilliant hosts, mealtimes were great with local content and many thoughtful touches. We booked food/accommodation only and enjoyed our own activities in this natural playground - fantastic walking straight from the chalet. Bareges is a fab location and it was apparent from other guests experiences that Mountain Bug does a good job of providing fun activities... More
