I was heading back to the UK and decided to stop off as was getting tired and found l’Hotel de l’Europe in the high street using the sat nav. I parked my motorbike at the rear of the hotel, with a €4 supplement – there is parking infront along the road but didn’t’ want to chance it. The room was... More

Despite the tired look of the room, it provided a comfortable, clean bed. The WiFi service was good and the bathroom was large and the shower good. There was a pile of "something" on the bathroom floor when I first checked in but the rest of the room, linens, and bedding seemed spotless. The location is central and the petit... More

We arranged to stay one night with a half board option. The room was a large family room with two double beds. The bathroom was of a good size but the lighting was not very good for shaving. The toilet was small and cramped but OK. The restaurant saved a table for us and when we arrived we were given... More

The hotel is an old coaching house dating back a few hundred years, smack in the centre of the mediaeval walled town of Langres (built inevitably on top of a hill) - 3.5 Km of 30 metre high walls around the town, nice walk round the battlements. Langres is a sensible place to stop en route to/from e.g. the alps... More

For some of my fellow reviewers this hotel is too much previous century. For us that was just the charm of the hotel. Plus the fact that it is located in the very center of the old city of Langres. Nevertheless it was easy to find a place for our automobile, because they provide you with a private parking behind... More

Large comfortable room, private parking and a reasonable restaurant. Had a good menu of the day for 18.50 euro. Which was very good but would've like to see cheese board and dessert trolley. Wifi in room was a marginal signal but a room nearer to reception would've been better. All in all a good overnight stop.

I first used this hotel in 2009 for an overnight stay when returning from a trip to France. From the outside it looks great - full of character and conveniently located. We were a party of three motorcyclists so not looking for tip top luxury but I have to agree with some of the previous comments about the interior looking... More

Good location, but should have taken heed of other reviews, staff not very welcoming, rooms at best are average. We ate in the resturant, £75 with wine for 2, food ok a bit pricey for the dull resturant with staff who really didn't seem to enjoy working in a resturant. We skipped breakfast... One to visit when under new management... More

We stayed here as a convenient stop-over through France. It was very central and had car parking, but was very scruffy and reception area dark, and uncared for. We did not eat here as the dining area looked depressing and untidy as well. Our room was ok, but shower room tiny and on second floor overlooking the car park. Langres... More

A decent small hotel right on the main high street in the town with its own private courtyard parking. stayed in block at the back where the rooms are a good size and all very clean (the stairs are a bit tight!) looked at the restaurant and it looked like the hotel ‘botsie’ but adequate!! Couldn’t really complain for the... More
