We booked a triple room for €140 and were surprised to see a shabby, double sized room with a small bed at the foot of the double. This was not really a triple room. The room was very hot and stuffy all night despite the coolness outside and there was lots of road noise. The loo ran constantly and the... More

decided to stop of in langres on our touring holiday in france, we stopped of to look in this walled city , did not realise how lovely place it was , also when we stayed the the center was given over to a fabulous music festival all over the city, music and bands every where so we made the decision to... We only had an over-night stay in Langres on our way to Burgundy. Langres is an ancient Roman city, well worth a look. The hotel is very central, with (paid) secure parking. (Why not simply include that in the room price, noone is going to be walking) The rooms are fine and everything is very clean. We ate in the restaurant... More

The Hôtel de la Poste in Langres is a good place to stay if you are looking for a comfortable bed and not too grand a dinner while driving through this area of France. An old coaching inn located within the walls of an historic town with a welcoming team. Don’t be fooled by the outside appearance of the building,... More

Although previous reviews indicated problems , we decided to spend one night while on the road, as more recent reviews were more positive. It is clear that the renovations being made have resulted in major improvements over the past year. The building is old, on the outside (still being renovated), but the inside is surprisingly updated, clean, friendly and very... More

While the staff were friendly the hotel it's self was very run down. The hotel is in the midst of "renovating". I say renovating with reservation because I believe that what Europeans call renovations would classify as redecorating in North America. I was prepared for the hotel to be disorganized due to the "renovations", however it is simply run down.... More

This hotel was renovated, but has a lot more to do to attract customers. We spent one night, the mattress was very old, we woke up with backaches. The bath towels were so outdated. They smell bad. We woke up around 9am, and called for breakfast in the room. We were told: " sorry we do not deliver, you had... More

We stayed overnight. It was expensive considering the shutters were falling off , the bed clothes were old and very worn, shower had dirty grouting all the way round, sink was loose and toilet wobbled. Definitely a beautiful old building though...but dark and with broken lightbulbs in the room didn't add atmosphere. No child friendly food ...we ate in town... More

We booked this as the B&B that we were staying at was full. The room that we stayed in was in serious need of repair. The bathroom has a closet shower that takes at least 5 minutes to get any hot water. If you get claustrophobic in an airplane toilet your in big trouble. The water pressure in the shower... More

Langres is a gem of a town, set on a hilltop with medieval walls and narrow cobbled streets. And this old hotel is right in the middle. Family run, and welcoming. Full of lovely old antique furniture, but slightly odd taste in décor (other reviewers have used the term quirky, which is pretty accurate). Evening meal OK (but have had... More
