My wife and I stayed overnight on our way to the South of France. Langres itself is a charming little town with a complete circuit of walls and views from these walls out over the countryside, don't miss this place. The hotel itself met our requirements for a quiet overnight stay, car park at the back, and a pleasant evening... More

Basic but very comfortable hotel with lots of character and some interesting furniture. There is a car park which doesn't cost much but we were lucky and found a free space directly outside the hotel. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and both were good quality and decent value. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Tipsy the... More

Stayed here on my way to the French Alps and back again on the way home. Unfortunately the car broke down and we had to stay another 4 nights whilst waiting for parts. Langres is a beautiful place. The hotel is very reasonably priced , €180 for 3 extra nights. food excellent. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms nice size. Showers ,very... More

We wanted to book a one night stay in this area whilst travelling through France early March. On reading some of the previous reviews we weren't quite sure what to expect. The décor is traditional floral and definitely not to everyone's taste! However, once through all the flowered doors, the room we were allocated was a good size, very nicely... More

An unwarm welcome. We had a booking.com reservation, the annoyed lady at the reception informed us that we should have checked also by phone. Our room was in a bad maintenance status. You can hardly use wi-fi connection. I think that the hotel doesn't worth what we pay.

We booked a triple room for €140 and were surprised to see a shabby, double sized room with a small bed at the foot of the double. This was not really a triple room. The room was very hot and stuffy all night despite the coolness outside and there was lots of road noise. The loo ran constantly and the... More

We only had an over-night stay in Langres on our way to Burgundy. Langres is an ancient Roman city, well worth a look. The hotel is very central, with (paid) secure parking. (Why not simply include that in the room price, noone is going to be walking) The rooms are fine and everything is very clean. We ate in the restaurant... More

The Hôtel de la Poste in Langres is a good place to stay if you are looking for a comfortable bed and not too grand a dinner while driving through this area of France. An old coaching inn located within the walls of an historic town with a welcoming team. Don’t be fooled by the outside appearance of the building,... More

Although previous reviews indicated problems , we decided to spend one night while on the road, as more recent reviews were more positive. It is clear that the renovations being made have resulted in major improvements over the past year. The building is old, on the outside (still being renovated), but the inside is surprisingly updated, clean, friendly and very... More
