I stayed here for one night. The room was quaint, the bathroom was great. Views from Room 3 were across the village square. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was an additional 9€ for a continental buffet style spread. Stairway was step and narrow so could be an issue if you have mobility issues.

We were recommended this place by few friends and we must say we were very nicely surprise. This is an hotel restaurant run by a young family all very warm and very nice. Their attention to details, a perfectly cleaned place, very good food and top wines in a quiet environment was perfect for us. If you want a Ritz... More

We only ate here but it was a big let down. The food was very attractively arranged and was modern and innovative. Unfortunately they had sacrificed flavour in order to achieve this. I had coriander broth as part of my starter and it tasted of absolutely nothing! The chef seemed to prefer steaming the meat and fish to any other... More

La Foret on the edge of a small town in the Perche region is close to coast and near enough to explore Chartres. The hotel which is adjacent to open parkland provides comfortable clean accommodation and friendly efficient service. The bedrooms mix modern and traditional décor and ours was large and included a four poster bed. The hotel restaurant (which... More

Having read some other reviews of this property, we were very disappointed overall. The room was small but satisfactory for just one night. The biggest letdown was the evening meal. The first course was very nice also the sweet, but the main courses were awful (my wife and I chose different meals by the way) so we left them almost... More

Our one night stay didn't give us time to explore what could be an interesting region of France as well as Chartres which is about an hour away.Rather typical French bed rooms but with all the comforts necessary and a very good restaurant. The reception doesn't open until 6pm but if you arrive early there is a French cafe next... More

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on our way back from the south of France to the UK by road. Wanting somewhere a bit off the beaten track, this seemed perfect. Senonches is a lovely rural village. With the price, we weren't expecting the Ritz, and we didn't get it, but the hotel was decent enough, the staff... More

My husband & I stayed for 3 nights (67 euros pppn) at start of tour in western France & were basically pleased with the accommodation but feel it could do with improvement in certain areas. We arrived at 2.50pm, greeted courteously & given our room key plus code for front door access. The building is old so we didn't expect... More

I stopped here with family on our way back to Le Havre and had no preconceptions about what to expect. we entered a small rural town with a large green space (read tree lined park) and the hotel on the corner. Next door is a lovely pub with tables and chairs outside. The exterior of the hotel is timber clad... More

I decided to go to Senonches because I wanted an escape in the nature not far from Paris (less than 1h30 drive). The Hotel de la Foret is a nice family owned property, right in the middle of the village. They offer simple but comfortable rooms for a very decent price + a very good restaurant (can be more pricey,... More
