We stayed here for 4 nights in April (2015).....we had an amazing experience. It is definitely the Costa Rican jungle! If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing get away - this is it! The food was amazing-we had dinner 3 nights and it was the best food we had in CR! The service was fantastic - everyone was super... More

La Cusinga is tranquil & beautiful. As other reviewers have commented: Paradise. With memories of falling asleep & awakening to the sounds of crickets and howler monkeys & settling into harmony with this beautiful environment in sight of the Pacific Ocean, we would return to La Cusinga in a heartbeat. HIGHLIGHTS: The wonderful yoga pavilion where we began our days... More

I loved my time here and can't wait to go back. It has breathtaking views and surroundings. The staff is kind, accommodating, helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. Yoga classes in the open air pavilion were life changing. This is truely a hidden gem!

Five star all the way for those that appreciate beautiful surroundings, both natural and manmade, wonderful kind staff, and food that defies description. Henierro, Christian, Manuel, Luz and all the staff and Dennis the amazing chef, we were treated like valued guests from beginning to end. When they say 'con gusto' they really mean it. the women in the group... More

The Cusinga lodge is positioned with the best view of the Pacific and long, exotic and quiet trails to walk in the national reserve, The beaches which can be reached are just beautiful and to put it mildly not overrun. Breakfast and dinner are both very good. Good place to make walks through rainforest.

This was the most amazing place. It feels like you are living amongst nature. The food, accommodations and staff were amazing. I'd come back here again in a heartbeat! I came here for a yoga retreat and the yoga pavilion is absolutely beautiful. All the excursions were excellent. I went horseback riding and zip lining and they were so much... More

If you don't mind paying $200 for a camping cabin this is the place for you. The room is stripped down - no air conditioning (it is beastly hot there), no TV, no phone and the beach is a 30 minute walk down the side of the cliff! Dinner is whatever they feel like serving you - don't like it?... More

We had a great stay at La Cusinga. The views from the porch are magnificent and the grounds of the property are full of delightful surprises--like a natural pool right in the middle of jungle terrain. The staff were all very warm and welcoming, and I would say that the only downside is that it's a very small operation, so... More
