We stayed three days at Cascada Verde and absolutely loved our visit. If we had to do it over again, we would rent a car once we arrived in Uvita. The hostel is beautiful and slightly remote up a decent sized hill, close to the waterfall but far from any restaurants, beaches, or other attractions. PROS: Relaxing in the hammocks... More

Wow! While searching for some surf spots down the coast from Manuel Antonio we booked this place on a whim. What a surprise! Julie and her husband have created something quite unique and incredibly beautiful. This bamboo laden bungalow is perfect for couples or travelers seeking a warm and quiet escape into the jungle. The surrounding gardens blend with the... More

Stayed here for three nights~it was perfect. We had a double room with bath. It was tidied up each day. It was so cool to wake up in the jungle. I loved sitting on their beautiful wooden lounge decks, having my breakfast and coffee while beautiful birds and other wild life flies throughout the jungle. Their kitchen was great. We... More

I went there with my boyfriend and from the beginning we could not believe this place was "only an hostel". The rooms were very cosy and beautiful, people were nice and quiet...everyone was cooking in the shared kitchen, enjoying the view on the jungle (the hostel is suspended in the middle of the jungle, this is just incredible). The dutch... More

Really good hostel. Clean rooms, hot showers, best hostel kitchen I've seen so far an very nice area to relax/eat/read your book. The best thing about this hostel for me is the view from the common areas! You look right into the forest which is beautiful, day and night. There is someone teaching yoga lessons in the hostel, and yoga... More

Really enjoyed my stay. I was impressed with the kitchen!! So much equipment and well organised. Everywhere was very clean. I loved the no shoes upstairs rule. There are plenty of places to relax around the hostel without being disturbed. Worth the walk from downtown. Although because everything is made of wood, there is noise when people walk heavy footed!... More

We stayed 2 night at this hostel and we felt at home right when we came in. Big hangout veranda with the most stunning view into the canopy of the trees. We saw many toucans passing by, other birds and even monkeys! The kitchen is the most clean and best organized kitchen I ever saw in a hostel!!! Spacious, with... More

I've read some of the other reviews which brought up some negatives e.g. The parking area, it's proximity to town and attitude towards young people and groups. Regarding the first two issues that's true enough. We had a car and didn't mind the short uphill walk, so they weren't issues for us but I can see it maybe for others.... More
