We stayed at here for one night while visiting Marino Ballena National Park. The cabin was squeaky clean and spacious, and felt very secure back where we were in the jungle area. Young Victor was very helpful in providing directions and recommendations for food and things to do in the area. We were able to leave our bags in their... More

We stayed at Cabinas los Laureles in Uvita for one night this week. We came to explore Uvita and hear one of our favorite musicians play at the Roadshack Deli. We could not have been more pleased. We rented a cabina about 150 meters back in the rainforest for a very reasonable price. The cabina was squeaky clean and roomy... More

The family that owns this hotel took amazing care of us. They were available for us whenever we needed them, but gave us plenty of privacy. The grounds are nice and secluded and the rooms feel like small cottages. It's a great place to stay on a budget as well!

A great find via tripadvisor the room we had was beautiful (22) out of 4 cabins for the first two nights we were the only ones in residence. The third night was a little different as the one fault with the beautiful cabins is their lack of sound proofing which meant that our tranquil spot was spoilt by loud voices... More

We booked at this place based on the reviews. First the good. The rooms were clean and nice. It is relatively well located. I think your experience will be very different if you speak good Spanish and you don't show up tired. In our case it just didn't seem like there was anything Victor Sr and Victor Jr couldn't complicate.... More

Hello, thank you, first of all for your time to review us and leave us some commentary so we can grow. Yes, our rooms are very clean. Its too bad you felt like you were not welcomed. This is what i perceive, which can happen, after all we are all humans and we make mistakes. Unfortunately at times my father... More

Wonderful owners and such a beautiful property!! Within walking distance to the store, bakery, sodas, etc, and just a short drive to the beaches. The owners really make this place--so kind and generous. A great value for the price as you fall asleep to the sounds, feeling like you're in the middle of the jungle with no one for miles,... More

Out of the way Uvita is worth the trek and Los Laureles is a fun place to stay. The owner was happy to drop us off at a beach, as we were carless. Breakfast of fruit or gallo pinto is served at the open air tables with strong coffee. Our large room was comfortable, but simple. There's a private 'forest'... More

This hotel had a great vibe. Friendly service and they were able to accommodate our short-term needs. Some rooms don't have a fridge so ask in advance. The rooms were average, but good for the price. A great place to stay if you're traveling to the coast near Uvita.

A locally owned guest house, with cabinas both a couple of hundred yards up a slope from the main house, and close to the entrance. Cabins are simple but adequate - in the forest cabinas you can sit on your terrace and watch the birds after spending a day at the beach (two miles away and US$6 entrance fee to... More
