We stayed at Las Terrazas de Ballena for 3 nights starting on January 24th through the 27th. The bungalows are beautiful and the beds are really comfortable and fit 4 adults very comfortably. The outside kitchens were perfect for making a couple meals and there is a great grocery store at the bottom of the hill (Definitely need a 4x4... More

This was my best experience in Costa Rica by far! We stayed 4 nights and loved every minute. Carla, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful. Not only did she make us a different delicious breakfast every morning, she helped us with tours, restaurant sugestions, a stuck rental car, and finding a new hotel when Pirate Cove in Drake Bay... This is a great place to stay. Very clean room and pool, Rather remote and sufficiently far from the highway, so the only noise you will experience is a bounch of screaming frogs! Comfortable chairs at your personal balcony as well as at the lovely pool. Note that this is a B&B so do not expect lunch and dinner. However,... More

We stayed 4 nights and rented 2 bungalows (family of 5). The cabins are lovely, with all the creature comforts you'll need in the jungle, and more (WiFi, TV, little kitchen area outside). Breakfast is absolutely fantastic and changes every day, it alone is worth the price. Really great breakfast - plan in some time to eat and enjoy it!... More

We stayed 2 nights at terrazas de ballena which happend to be an absolute great choice! Very remote in the rainforest between all kinds of wildlife but with everything you need available. The cabin felt like home and we had a great view on the sea. The staff also made us feel like we where home. They were very friendly,... More

We were there for a week and a half. There were three of us -- me, my wife, and my 4 year old daughter. We all had a wonderful time. There are reviews here about the road up to the bungalows: that you need a four wheel-drive vehicle to get up to the place. They're basically right. I had a... More

Beautifull hotel in the jungle with a fantastic view. The hosts are very friendly and helpfull, they gave us a lot of tips and must-do's. There is a nice pool, clean and cozy bungalows and also a good breakfast! Close to a waterfall (cascada verde) and also good places to eat nearby. Great experience!!!!

I am now more relaxed than I've been in several years, thanks to my mini-break at this charming hotel. While the list of possible activities was endless--the beach, zip-lining, whale watching, a trip to Corcovado State Park--we chose to do basically none of that. We'd had a long couple of months, and what we wanted to do more than anything... More

We stayed for 4 nights in may. The road up is very steep and we definitely needed a 4x4 to get there paticularly after the heavy rains. The accommodation itself is very remote with an outstanding view of the whales tail. We saw toucans and white faced capuchin playing in the trees near our bungalow.
