I was diving one day with monkeys. First of all, if I was grading the diveguide/instructor (Paul) I would not have given three bubbles, but would need more bubbles to be able to describe how fantastic he was. Really skilled, serviceminded and easygoing!! The management on the other hand doesnt deserve any bubbles at all. They were difficult when it... More

This small lodge is very close from Semporna, almost in contact with the BunBum island. It has the capacity to welcome no more than 7 pax which gives it the cocooning that some trekkers are looking for (I belong to this category). Various agencies are proposing the resort in their package (please refer to the very efficient service of Stickyrice... More

I stayed at Monkey Dives lodge for 4 days for my diving course. The lodge has a rustic feel to it, rooms- basic furnishing with a fan (no air conditioning but trust me u won't need it- the cold air is good enough at nite), 4 common bathrooms (clean) and a common area where we have our meals. The menu... More

We went there for 3 days last summer 2013. It's a floating house located near by Semporna in the main canal. The place is not so bad but don't expect to go there and have a bath into the sea as the water is very dirty. It is acceptable to relax while drinking a beer, but there is absolutely nothing... More

rather compact floor area makes the stay much more like a community and family rather than separated rooms making it cozy and interacting with other occupants personal swimming pool and 'aquarium' is an ingenuous way to introduce to people who have never seen wild ocean fishes up close

We have had booking for 2weeks.But after 7days,we changed staying nights to another place. Unfortunetly, the owner has been absent staying in hospital caused of accident when we arrived there. Also, it has hidden high cost of transport to Semporna and other islands. Poor wifi and cold, low pressure of shower. By the water shower I have got to catch a... More

For non-divers like me, they really take good care of me, we visit like 6 island in 5D4N, the boatman really know good spots for snorkelling. There are few types of room there, we choose the private room instead of the dorm, since we seek for more private time. The room is only occupied by fan, it's a but humid in hot... More

We spent 4D3N in early January 2014 with our kids aged 6 and 9. We had a fantastic time both on the lodge itself and the snorkeling and diving trips. The lodge is basic but in a great way which means that there is atmosphere here in contrast to a boring resort. The staff, especially Sascha, were truly interested in... More

Basic and simple accomodation with an extra dose of tranquillity and hospitality, the perfect recipe for a memorable stay. This lodge is cut off from everything else but not from the necessary comforts like wifi and hot water. One can rest and switch off while diving and snorkelling on beautiful, remote islands under the expert hands of the staff. The... More
