I will never forget this 3D2N trip at Seahorse Sipadan Scuba Homestay (Semporna, Tawau) because our room (Room No#4) got rat (mouse) visited us the whole night long! Seriusly, two night we never sleep well & we really cannot accepted have rat in our room. 3D2N Package RM700/person, not worth for it. Frankly, I don't think I will visit here... More

Fantastic experience even though we didn't get to dive sipadan. Dive masters really looked after us, location excellent. Booked through agoda would book directly next time to deal in the dives. Room looked out over the ocean and we could see turtles ion the morning. Food really good and staff happy to cook up the local seafood if we purchased... More

If you are looking for a place with good dive staff and budget accommodation, then this is great. Some of the equipment could do with being updated, but all in all, the diving side is good. Having said that, they don't own the diving and, based on the accommodation alone, it's a pretty average place. The facilities were very basic... More

3 out of 4 of us were non-divers..so we decided to take PADI Open Water Dive Course in Mabul Island. At first we chose Big John Scuba, however we cancelled it due some problems and it's worth it! The staff, Midah was attended to our 'Q&A session' through email and phone very patiently..We had made deposits for RM100/pax for rooms... More

My first visit was 2012 Dec, after that I became regular customer, visit here every year. :) SSSL is managed by local people from Semporna, their office in semporna, where the dive center and the home stay located in Mabul island. home stay provided all basic need, own room with bath room, but don't expect too much like 4 star... We stayed there three nights. Seahorse offers basic facilities like fans, lights, extra bed, light blanket, pillows etc. Bathroom is very basic. (no shampoo and soap). The breakfast / dinner and lunch is mostly local (Malay). Be prepared to have rice all he time! :) We are ok with it so was not a problem. (They have bread and butter... More

Usually we choose dive shops that are fully PADI certified by checking the PADI homepage but this time we chose a dive shop that could offer us a Sipadan dive permit and a reasonable package to go with it. We didn't regret our choice though. We booked a 3d/2n/6d package (incl. one day/3 dives on Sipadan) and were transferred out... More

I made last minute holiday plans and chose the destination to be Mabul Island. I only had two weeks vacation, so I chose to stay in one place the whole time. 12 nights in Seahorse. Reason why I chose Seahorse was because it was easiest to book. I booked thru agoda.com and paid with paypal. I did to ask another... More

This place is a good option if you want to stay on Mabul, dive the same sites as the primo resorts, and are willing to forgo the mod cons. This is budget living for sure. The lodge is overwater, but the rooms are tucked into other buildings and there is nothing to do at the facility besides dive, eat, and... More

It was a very sweet memories to stay in this budget and very affordable lodge. At first me and my wife booked for other resort but we need to cancel it due to some problems and we decided to stay in Seahorse. I was in love with wide deck in front of our room where I can straightly jump into... More
