I spent 9 days here over Christmas 2014 and enjoyed every minute of it. Anna and her young staff were always friendly and inclusive. Ahmed, though shy, was always helpful. My room was all I needed, being right on the beach, sun lounger a few footsteps away, meters from the water when the tide was in, interesting walking when the... More

We had the pleasure of visiting over Xmas and News Years 2014 and had the best time while staying in this safe environment. Ahmed, the manager and Anna the owner looked so well after us and made us feel part of the Uhuru family (this is what it will be called very soon). We booked our bungalow directly with the... More

we spent 6 nights here, beach is tidal but great for exploring at low tide and a walk to the channel is well worth it, to swim in lovely blue warm water. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and right on the beach with fans and ens uite bathroom. Much is being down when we were the there, there... More

Lovely place, bungalows opposite to the sea. Clean, lots of fisherman on the beach. If u go November, u will find more chance to meet with locals. Every night different place has a party. The owner of the hotel, she is very presentable. And reseptionist Ahmet, very helpful.

Shehe Bungalows, is a budget hotel with the rooms literally on the beach!! The best location ever. We were 4 people staying in a 3 bed en suite that had everything we need (except hot shower, but we couldn't find it in any hostel we've stayed in Zanzibar). The food at the Shehe restaurant was fresh and delicious!!

Being on a budget, I booked this online & didn't expect much tbh. But as we arrived, my jaw was on the floor! Bedroom with fridge, fans & en suite. Very clean. Helpful & friendly staff. Breakfast included. That's all ok, but not the best bit... Our room was literally on the beach! With the most amazing view of the... More

We paid only 15Euros/night for our lodgings here, and it certainly wasn't worth any more than that. We booked for 3 nights, and were asked to pay the whole balance upon arrival-we decided quickly that this was probably because if we hadn't, we may have left earlier. We asked to move rooms after the 1st night when we found out... More

The bungalows are in a great location and right on the beach, but be warned they are cheep for a reason. The room was clean enough but the water supply was erratic and you will need to ask them to restart the pump (which we found out on the second day of no water) and really is just a trickle... More

We stayed at Shehe in July- we found it by walking along Jambiani beach going from hotel to hotel looking for the best value- and this was it! Its a cute little place, no frills but sweet. We had a bungalow that was en suite, with mosquito nets and a fan. We had our own porch and were literally on... More

We stayed at the Shehe Bungalows (which are very good value at $35 inc breakfast). These white washed, coral-rag bungalows are in a fabulous location right on the beach but to be honest the rooms are very basic. The sea is absolutely stunning in this area – the turquoise and blue colours just amazing. Our room, was spacious with a... More
