Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights in 2 rooms. Chosen due to excellent reviews which are well deserved. Situated on the most beautiful beach you are steps away from 7 miles of white soft sand and the turquoise sea which never failed to bring a smile to my face! I can be a bit of a pool... More

Blue Oyster was a charming hotel. Quiet, smal, romantic and relaxing. Its located on a beautiful beach and has comfortable sunbeds with straw parasol. The beach was beautiful, but if you love to swim be aware of the tides, that will make the beach unswimable for some time of the day. And there is alot of beach sellers walking by,... More

Title says it all. The service, staff was ok. Very friendly. The rooms are outdated. The bathroom isnt very clean. You shower in the middle of the bathroom, the water is all over the floor, you have to mop after taking a shower. But the environment is great. Beautiful setting!

Blue Oyster was exactly the hotel I was looking for.....small, quiet place, next to a local village and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Me and my partner spent 5 days in Blue Oyster but I wish I could have stayed forever! I choose this little hotel because of its location - I love experiencing local life,... More

Blue Oyster is a great little resort for a short get-away. No surprises - rooms and amenities were just as described on their website. The location is great - on a beautiful, quiet section of beach. Jambiani is low-key tourism, with no major hotels and few "hustlers" along the beach or hanging around the resort. Snorkeling with Captain Zaby is... More

We had lovely time at Blue Oyster, our room was with great ocean view and huge terrace. The bed was so comfy, covered with tent, as well nice touch was fruit basket upon arrival in the room and flowers for decoration. We liked the window frames because you can get fresh air during day and night and hear the ocean.... More

This hotel provided a beautiful, calm and relaxing break. The hotel room was pristine and beautifully laid out - with the added touch of flowers and being turned down each day! It was pure luxury! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel has many badges for supporting local employment and sustainable tourism - all of which... More

The east coast of Zanzibar is stunning, and Blue Oyster certainly makes the most of such a beautiful setting. The lack of sea at low tide is, as others have mentioned, a little annoying but certainly no disaster. Tidal times change daily, but we found we could swim with no trouble until 11/11.30am and then again from 4.30ish. And, given... More

We stayed at the Blue Oyster Hotel for six nights during our honeymoon. After an overland trip in Uganda and safari in Kenya, a nice hotel on a quiet beach was a blessing. We found the hotel very good, and it lived up to our expectations. Authentic african style, friendly staff, great views and quite isolatet. The beach is not... More
