What a wonderful time we had at Black Leopard Camp. We were amazed at what Kari and Mike could offer at this beautiful tented camp. We couldn't in our wildest dreams think that we could afford luxury like this, always thinking that it is only affordable to overseas visitors. What a pleasant surprise that we South Africans can experience the... More

A truly amazing experience, especially spotting a leopard on our first game drive heading towards Black Leopard Camp. On reaching the camp we were delighted and amazed at the layout of the camp and its surroundings...straight out of a movie/book...wow...would recommend Black Leopard to anyone who wants to really experience what life is about...a great adventure. A most amazing place just outside of Lydenburg, Mpumulanga, South Africa. Luxury tented camp with outdoor bathrooms situated in a lush, secluded valley. From the moment you arrive and take the hour game drive to the camp you feel relaxed and immersed in nature. Gorgeous, majestic views. Personal service second to none! More

It is a hidden jewel that we all go past most of the time. It is best situated for a totall get away from the rat race. The tranquillity of the environment and the quality service provided by all personnel of the camp adds to the relaxation. The size of the camp makes it easy for the camp personnel to... More

We've been to Black Leopard Camp twice. A beautiful location, very relaxing and hosts Kary and Mike are wonderful (and entertaining!). Fantastic tents - especially the huge beds - with en-suites and outdoor bathrooms, using solar power. Excellent food and service. A terrific lounge/bar area with views and a plunge pool. If it rains or is cold, the lounge is... More

If you are looking for complete relaxation, Black Leopard is the place to go. Try an outdoor bath, looking up at the sky, for total R&R! The tented camp is in a breathtaking setting and Mike and Karen go out of their way to make sure every guest is comfortable and well looked after. We loved the bush drives. Mike's... More

To get to this perfect hidden gem was the very best that happened to us yet touring the Southern part of Africa (and this was our 10th trip already!). A perfect, well kept place with extraordinarily professional, very friendly and caring people who gave a real "Ernest Hemingway" safari feeling and a warm "home away frome home" coziness to us....
