We booked the Richmond Hill Hotel for one night after seeing a band at the Corner Hotel. Location was good, very close by and in easy walking distance of places to eat. The room itself (room 105) was average. It was clean enough but in much need of updating. The blanket on the bed had numerous holes in it. The... More

We spent a night at Richmond Hill when we had a conference in Abbotsford. It was a good price and included parking and a continental buffet breakfast. The rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. The rooms are quite small but we were not spending much time in our room. The bathroom was also quite small. It certainly is in... More

Needing two nights accommodation in the inner eastern suburbs, we settled on Richmond Hill Hotel. We had several functions to attend in Richmond and the city, and the location was perfect. Our room was small with an ensuite, but had everything we needed. Perfectly clean, great bed, and we loved the large breakfast room and lounge. This place has character... More

I had stayed at this hotel with my parents for almost 3 weeks last winter in Melbourne. Loved the location, with close proximity to trams and the tube. Richmond is barely 2 kms from the city centre, and this property, which is opposite the magnificent St Ignatius church in Richmond, is just perfect for a comfortable stay. We were here... More

We stayed at Richmond Hill June 2014 and enjoyed our time.I suffer from asthma and was concerned about staying away. However I was not disappointed the hole Hotel was warm and there was not a speck of dust. The rooms had very comfortable beds and a electric oil heater in every room.We had a private bathroom and although it was small it... I stayed here for one night for work. It's a nice enough hotel, with a guest-house feel to it. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom in my room smelt quite bad though, and the wifi isn't free, which I found quite frustrating as it was a lot of money for a basic hotel. I paid... More

I had an unfortunate situation happen to me and I had to stay in Melbourne for an unspecified time. I accidentally found this Hotel and when I explained I didn't have a set check-out date, they were more than accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. It may have needed a little updating... More

You may not get your own bathroom. But you will get a good breakfast. The rooms are clean , tidy, and the beds are ok. As usual a little harder than your own bed, but that's hotels the world over. You will not be downtown Melbourne. But you won't be paying downtown prices, and there is tram stop virtually outside... More

We didn't spend much time in our room. Overall it is small but clean and comfortable (queen with own bathroom). Beds are comfortable. Provides very basic amenities. Few car parks on site. Close to public transport. Price included continental breakfast. Some areas could do with a little work to upgrade the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you are... More
