The Amora Hotel Riverwalk. First impressions. It is a sizeable property on the city end of Richmond. But far enough that you wouldn't really want to 'walk' into the CBD. Walking in, it feels more like a hotel you would find in a large country town. Don't expect the 5 star ambience of the top-end CBD properties around Melbourne. On... More

This hotel is handily situated for visitors who want to travel to the sporting precinct by tram and like coming back to a location that's close to the Yarra and not as noisy as many city spots. The hotel is also liked by locals who walk there, exercise dogs on the parkland between hotel and river, and have a coffee... More

We booked our room around 4 weeks ago and we're not told about $20 parking or the $100 room bond! We're here to see roxette in concert and the hotels requirements have taken $120 of our meal and entertainment funds for the night!!! NOT HAPPY EVERY THING in the room has a price on it... even the water next to... More

Stayed here on a Thursday night. The hotel is modern, well placed to the CBD, on tram line, overlooks park and river. Most rooms have balconies, so you can have fresh air! Rooms and balconies overlook a central courtyard, which caters for functions, but these finish early enough to get some sleep! Reception take $100 from credit card on arrival... More

Rooms are smallish but modern and clean, breakfast was standard buffet, parking was easy. Probably the best nights sleep I have had in Melbourne...rooms are so quite. The only negative was their card system had failed when I was checking in and they did not realise what had happened, fortunately I had cash with me. Will stay again though

I travel a lot for work. This hotel is ok. Rooms nice enough etc. No problems there. It would be good if they could let you know at check in if your room includes breakfast. One downside was the pastry at breakfast was really dry. I actually spit it back out.

I am a regular traveller to Melbourne staying at the Amora. The hotel is in a great location and very comfortable but the highlight is the quality of their staff to ensure their guest have a great stay. The hospitality staff, Annie, Jacob and Miriam are to be congratulated on their customer service ethic and going that extra mile.

The good. Good location close to public transport, rooms are clean, quite well-outfitted and comfortable, it's a default 11 am check-out, and the parking is safe (an issue in this part of Melbourne). The average. We were surprised that we had to pay for the parking - spots were certainly not at a premium the night we stayed. Haven't been... More

This is an excellent hotel out of the CBD. It has easy access from CityLink, and was only 40 mins to Tullamarine the next morning. The hallways face the road and the rooms open out to an inner courtyard so there is no traffic noise. The room was clean and the bathroom as well. We dined in-house and the meals... More

The rooms are a good size, excellent big shower and all very clean and comfortable, including a balcony that you can actually sit out on. The tram stop out the front is so convenient, as is the pub across the road, and the bars in the hotel itself - the courtyard bar is great, overlooking the grass and the river.... More
