My family and I stayed there over the Easter weekend. It's a remote place. The cottages are roomy and very country like. Hardly any internet connection which meant that we spent quality time together. The open fire place really sets the mood. There many beautiful wineries in the surrounding which we really enjoyed. We had lunch at the wineries. The... More

From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed in this beautifully presented, intimate and unique property. We stayed in Rayken which was perfect for a couple seeking romance. On arrival we opened the door to be met by a warmly lit fire, soft music playing, dimmed lighting and ATMOSPHERE GALORE. There was a bottle of bubbles chilling in the fridge... More

We recently ate at the restaurant there and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and for $40 per person for 3 courses it was value for money. There were 7 of us and we ordered different meals and loved them all. It is beautiful homemade meals and desserts. They were so friendly and will definitely be back there.

This is my third stay at Moonbeam Cottages and it just gets better every time. Summer or Winter. The Cottages are all so different, very special in that they are all built from recycled timber, bricks, slate, doors, windows, stained glass which to me makes them all so unique. Each time I visit we are always greeted by Lyn and... More

We recently stayed for two nights in this amazing cottage, built from recycled materials, but so warm and cosy, the open fire is fantastic. If you are looking for a quiet get away, look no further. The cottage has everything you need, although if staying on a Monday night you might find the local pub is closed. Make sure you... More

Moonbeam Cottages are located around 20 min drive from Avoca. Set on 20 acres the resident owner built these cottages over the past 20 years using a lot of recycled materials. Each one is unique and we couldn't find anything that wasn't supplied right down to fragrance and oil burner. Loved our stay, quiet, relaxing and a lovely weekend with... More

Our third stay at Moonbeam and it was great to show off the warm hospitality and home feel of the cottages to a relative visiting from Ireland. With an addition to our family Dennis and Lyn made us feel even more welcome by playing with our baby boy and bringing over toys. ( Will need to bring own portacot) We... More

We were a group of three couples (on motorbikes), and were allocated a four bedroom cottage, each bedroom with full ensuite. These charming rustic cottages have every facility, are well designed and built by the owner of the complex. Every bedroom in every cottage has an ensuite. Enough eggs, bacon, juice, bread etc was supplied for our breakfasts. A great... More

I had the pleasure of staying at the Moonbeam Cottages on a recent visit to Australia. We travelled through the Pyrennees visiting wineries and other points of interest with friends who had recommended the Moonbeam as a true Aussie experience. The cottages were quirky to say the least, built from salvaged materials with a design that followed a whim rather... More

We were told that we could check in after 12 and when we arrived around 1pm were told that we should have arrived after 3pm....that was the start. We had agreed on a price for the extention of our stay and that was paid in advance by a third party. On arrival we were told that money was still owing... More
