This is a beautiful hotel that sits atop a hill in a quaint city. The staff were knowledgable about the area, hospitable and courteous. I traveled here with 15 graduate students and 2 colleagues. There were rooms large enough to accommodate 4 people. I had an individual room with a king size bed a desk and chair and a television.... More

Thank you so very much for your kind review of our hotel. We were very pleased to have your group visiting us. We work very hard at sustainability and are proud to be one of the five hotels in Brazil with the Certificate for Sustainable Management. The town is very lovely but so small that the internet service is not... More

I stayed at this hotel more than 10 years ago... we had a great stay then but I remember it being just a place to sleep in. We did however love our stay this time. The hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms are well appointed yet simple. The common areas received a lot of attention and the decor is... More

This hotel felt like paradise as soon as we walked in. Every area of the hotel was immaculate in it's feel for the natural surroundings. Pool area was amazing, the buildings were superb and the gardens beautiful. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars was that the staff didn't compliment the feel of the hotel. I expected maybe... Hard to describe the great vibe at this hotel. It has that worn but ages-well vibe to it. It sort of reminds me of Hanna Inn in Maui, Hawaii in that regard, but not as upscale. We arrived somewhat late at night by car, and they offered to show us a room. It has great rustic touches with some modern... More

Good: - nice and spacious outside area - large pool, perfect for relaxing after the hikes and for the kids - good breakfast with ok selection of fruit bread cakes and tapiocas - organize guides - very near center - walking distance about 700m but up a steep hill Bad: - horribly small rooms - pricy restaurant - expensive extras... I have enjoyed greatly our stay at the hotel over the Sao Joao holiday. The hotel, located very conveniently, just a few blocks from the center of town. It is situated in a very calm picturesque spot overlooking the charming, historical town Lencois. The hotel is beautifully decorated with very select examples of Brazilian art and handcrafted items. The décor... More

Centrally located in Lencois. Wonderful pool and restaurant. Room are little small and outdated. Hamac available to hang on your porch... which is a cool touch. The restaurant is ok priced. The hotel has this overall tropical holiday feeling that we expected with a decent pool and amenities.

Stayed at Hotel de Lencois for 3 nights. The good. - Centrally located, within easy walk of all the restaurants and the shops...but then Lencois is pretty small. - Rooms are clean The disappointing - The room is extremely sparse and simple. Those expecting "luxury" would be disappointed. This is your bog standard 3 star hotel and doesn't surprise to... More

Like many other travelers to Lencois, we visited with plans to take day trips to nearby Chapada Diamantina park. After staying in a simple private apartment in Salvador, we opted for a stay in a more luxurious setting, and this hotel did not disappoint. We took the overnight bus, arriving at 6 AM -- there were some taxis and pousada... More

We were there in a honey moon, thus we decided to get some comfort and to stay at one of the most expensive hotel in town, having good expectations in terms of comfort and cleaness. I booked for a "cama queen-size". We arrived in Lencois by Omnibus from salvador with a night travel as most of the tourist reaching Lencois... More

As the administrator of the Hotel de Lençóis I would like to apologize for not fulfilling your expectations, especially since you were on your honeymoon. We were surprised by the comment about the transfer since our hotel does not offer transfers to clients. If we knew from whom you had requested this transfer, we would discuss this problem with them.... More
