Beside the fact that the Pousada is lovely decorated, that the friendly staff makes you feel home, that there are boardgames, books, friendly dogs, lovely private rooms, hammocks to chill in, the Pousada Dos Duendes is the perfect spot to plan a hike/trek. The staff is well trained, they have a complete knowledge on how to organize a hike/trek.

I would definitely recommend this place to stay and also to book a trip to Chapada Diamontina with. Me and my girlfriend are backpacking and this was one of the few places that provided good service for the money. The staff were awesome, so friendly and helpful. Nearly everyone spoke English which was a bonus. Prices are very reasonable, clean... More

We were group of 4 (50+). Our private room was just perfect size. It is not 5 star hotel, but the surrounding is so relaxing that you fill like in the resort. Most of guests are young people. Hostel offers their own tours, but you can go to town to find your own. The pousada is hard to find, due... More

The hostel was everything you would expect from a hostel- decent bunks, beautiful grounds, good breakfast, quiet (except for the roosters crowing in the morning), and a good place to meet others and arrange a trek into the Chapada. The pousada is in the back of town and isolated making it vary peaceful, which is perfect for Lençois. It also... More

This hostel is good if what you want to do is meet up with lots of other travellers and you're more interested in spending time with them than doing some budget exploration. I'd recommend this hostel to a young inexperienced traveller looking to make friends. As a hostel it's overpriced, there are much nicer places in town for half the... More

The pousada is perfect for bacpackers. Rooms are appropriate (we had to decide between mosquito web and the use of the fan) and clean. Breakfast was great. Good choice and quality. The location is a bit remote though still in Lençois. Take a cab if you arrive at night - even though it is only 15 mins from the bus... More

We planned to stay in Dos Duendes for days and ended up staying a week. Although the pousada was clearly not the reason for prolonging our stay, we enjoyed the accommodation as well as Lencois as such. We chose Dos Duandes based on the good reviews here and the Lonely Planet suggestion for both rooms and travel agency. We booked... More

Actually we were a little disappointed with this pousada. It's ok, has all the basic facilities and a nice atmosphere, but it's overpriced, the breakfast could be better and the rooms are really basic. It really is a backpackers place with the noise and atmosphere that comes with it, but than we would expect lower prices and more fun on... More

Friendly and helpful staff. Very chill hostel/pousada. Great common areas with hammocks and fruit trees. A little way from the centre of town but worth it. Large lockers in the dorm, with a light and power socket beside each bed. Great breakfast. Would def recommend this place

Helpful staff, some of whom spoke English. Good breakfast spread. Free WiFi and computer access. Beautiful grounds, quirky, colourful and intricate designs. Possibly the best pousada/dorm I have ever stayed at! Only thing is a bit far from bus station, slightly uphill walk. If you have heavy bags, better take taxi.
