Great place if you wish to see Calakmul, Chicanna and Becan. Beautiful grounds and a good parking lot for your rental and a man on the gate at the highway making it secure. WIFI in the reception area only. The rooms are located in building with 4 rooms each and two up and two down, with private porches. If you... More

I did not have a reservation. I was driving around looking at Mayan sites and there are 4 very beautiful ones within a few miles of the hotel. As an older lady traveling alone I am interested in bed comfort , good food and a swimming pool. This older hotel had it all. Very quiet. Well maintained. The staff was... More

My wife and I stayed here on Nov. 13 to 15, 2014. We could have booked ourselves to a more budget value but OK hotel nearby but I thought it would be a great idea to experience sleeping in the middle of a jungle setting in the comfort of a clean and simple room. Besides, the nearby value hotel we... More

We stayed here for one night, to break up a long drive. The room was large and clean. Facilities are fine, if basic. The food in the restaurant was average, but not expensive. The pool was nice. Unfortunately we didn't see much wildlife.

The hotel has its rooms in small bungalows of one floor and is completely built in the nature. In fact it is possible to listening to birds' voices in the early morning. Moreover, there is no telephone, frigobar and television in the room. Wifi available in the reception only. Poor breakfast. Quite big swimming pool. Good for one night rest only.

I have used the lodge as a base the last 15 years for seeing the nearby ruins. Always a nice place to land after a long day visiting ruins. This time we used it as our taking off point to visit the ruins of Calakmul. The night we were there was beautiful and clear with a new moon so the... More

The lodge is in a beautiful setting next to an ancient Maya site. it is centerally located to use as a base camp for visting the dozens of sites in the southern Campeche area. The resaurant offers very good food and service as long as you are not in a hurry. Life in the Yucatan is at a slow gentle... More

If you wnat to be close to the ruins and spend a good time, this is EL LUGAR. Rooms are very spacious, restaurant good, service good, very clean, pool nice. The only thing is that the furniture doesn´match with the resort.

We visited Mexico during new year 2014. Chicanná Ecovillage Resort provided us a nice place to have a rest on the way to Maya. It is close to Xpujil and the major highway. The facility is good. Staff can speak English and give you some advice if you want to drive around Xpujil. The restaurant is fine although the choices... More

We had checked out this place a year ago and thought it seemed pretty spartan. But when our group checked it, it was larger and better equipped than we had anticipated. The wifi was pretty spotty and only available at the front desk, but that hardly mattered. The rooms are fairly spare, but had good hot water in the showers,... More
