This small guest house is a gem. It is located at the heart of the Burrowing Owl vineyards, one of the best in the Okanagan Valley. The room was clean, well-laid out, spacious, bright and had a balcony with a great view. The wheelchair access room was designed for someone in a wheelchair (most are not), with lots of attention... My wife and I took a look at gasoline prices and the exchange rate with Canada, loaded the car, grabbed our copy of Roadside Geology, and headed for Osoyoos, British Columbia. We live in the greatest wine region in our known universe, Red Mountain, Benton City, Washington. However, we have no pinots, and while our reds are the best, the... More

We've been here once before and loved it so much that we came back for Valentine's Day. The menu was limited to 7 courses only, with 3 choices per course, at $50 per person - we weren't aware that it was a set menu from the website, or when booking with the hostess by phone. Never even thought to ask.... More

This was suggested as a great place to stay and dine, and we were not disappointed. A lovely room, with a beautiful view over the vineyard and pool, it was comfortable and spacious, with a complimentary bottle of wine, which was very welcome. Dinner was superb, and the staff attentive and friendly. Breakfast is included, and it was delicious and... More

I journeyed here to try a few of the wines of the area and came across the burrowing owl. Had great information from tasting area but was told i could not sit in their restaurant to try a glass of wine without a compulsory food order. I find this to be classless and will not return.

Reading through previous reviews I fully concur with their general sentiment. The rooms--and there are only ten of them--are large and very tastefully laid out. All have an excellent view and a bit of a patio. Staff are friendly and helpful. The "buffet" breakfasts are well crafted and almost everything possible is made in house. With perhaps only 20 or... Our anniversary is in the middle of September which is a perfect time of the year to stay in the South Okanagan and enjoy some wonderful meals at the Burrowing Owl Winery. The accommodations are beautiful and the heat during the day allows you to appreciate the swimming pool. Enjoy their great wines in your room and you may never... More

We stayed in one of the 10 guest houses in August for a few nights. The rooms are very top notch, spacious and clean. These first class villa rooms are right on the pool within the Burrowing Owl vineyards. If you want quiet for a few days.....this is quiet! We even found ourselves whispering somewhat when by the pool as... More

Staying at Burrowing Owl was recommended by friends and when we saw the price and two night minimum stay we wondered, "Will it be worth it?" It was! Spacious rooms, a friendly warm welcome, a complimentary bottle of wine in our room, stunning views off of the private patio onto the large lap pool and into the valley of vineyards…truly... More

We have loved the Pinot Gris and Cabernet Franc for years and decided to stay at Burrowing Owl for a couple of days while touring the local wineries. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed with a private deck and access to the saltwater pool and hot tub. Dinning at the Sonora Room should not be missed...even if you... More
