Wondering what is up with the poor reviews. We got our laundry done, got a good restaurant pick, and we're met and taken to the Great Glen Way. Reading the negative reviews here make me wonder if it is even the same B&B! Gill packs an excellent walker's lunch, too.

Having stayed here for one night with four others on a 400 mile cycle ride, I must add our experiences to the growing list. On arrival we were greeted with "Can I help you" quickly followed by orders t omove our van as the lady who greeted us(Gill as it turned out) was expecting a "fleet of cars" to turn... More

My friend and I were 'sentenced' to one night stay at Coire Glas but thankfully, as our crimes were only minor, we were released after just one night. On a serious note, the owners (Ian and Gill I think?) should probably get out of the hospitality business as they are just not cut out for dealing with the public. On... More

I was one of a party of 4 middle aged blokes who'd booked this B&B as part of a Great Glen Way package, and it was where we were to stay at the end of our first day's walking. We phoned the premises early on the first day, and said we weren't sure what time we'd arrive at Gairlochy (the... More

After being advised to ring the owners before leaving fort William that morning on the first leg of the great glen way,by our walk organisers I did so and spoke to Ian. In a brief conversation it was agreed that I would call when our group of four arrived at gairlochy and that would be between 2:30pm and3:00pm. Therefore when... More

When booking this hostel we'd been a bit wary because of various comments about the poor people skills of the owners/hosts. We stayed for one night whilst doing the Great Glen Way hike from Fort William to Inverness, and while we'd admit the hosts don't have that Aussie/American way of treating you as a their new best buddy 5 minutes... I stayed here through my work and not even 60 seconds in the premises i was extremely rudely talked to by the land lady, as if i was a 12 year old boy. Her attitude for the next 4 days was abismal. The rooms were clean and tidy although had no television. The breakfast was the only positive i took... More

This is a great guest house I found the hosts to be very welcoming. The room was very clean. I stayed 3 nights and loved it. There was no television in the room but if you had to have a tv you can always watch the one in the lounge. You get free wifi so I just watched tv on... More

We stayed here whilst walking the Great Glen and found Gill and Ian to be most helpful. We were kindly collected from Gairlochy and returned there next morning. Gill also offered to book us in for a meal at a local restaurant but we had already booked a meal at the Old Station (which we can highly recommend for food... More

I have to admit that I found this places a bit like a Boot Camp. No welcome from the lady of the house< " I am doing the accounts". Right, Please use the bell if you need anything. With just 2 milk cartons for 2 of us for evening and following morning, I went to ask if we could have... More
