Very peaceful for either a short or long break with plenty to do in the surrounding countryside picnics, walking, climbing, skiing etc. The food was very good but do let them know about your dislikes before you go and have at least one evening meal or you'll miss a treat. Internet access available with a nominal charge if you really... more

Recommended to us by couple we meet at another B&B, we weren't surprised to be warmly welcomed then offered tea and shortbread which we enjoyed in the lovely upstairs sitting room. Roomy and beautifully furnished, it is interesting. Our room was a good size, with a single room off it which would be useful for family use. Large bathroom. All... more

I located the Lodge in Scotland for Dummies. Since online photos can be misleading, I really wasn't sure to expect. It was out first stop in the Highlands and we were completely exhausted. When we turned in the the parking area, it was like a beautiful mirage. The building has areas that are almost 400 years old, and it absolutely... more

We stayed here for 2 nights last week and had a lovely time. The hotel is easy to get to - if you have a car - but feels like its in the middle of nowhere - very peaceful and amazing views. The couple who run the hotel looked after us well - coffee and shortbread when we arrived in... more

We felt so lucky to have found this place. They'd only opened recently and charged 25 GBP pppn! The room was large and attractive (That's important to me).The meal was wonderful. Our hosts treated us like kings. They have a small walled garden which has potential. We'll be back next time we're in the UK. more

My first stay at Corriechoille was way back in 2001 or so I think. It had been a magical west highland day having climbed two mountains in Glenfinnan in an 8 hour circuit followed by a sunset ceilidh cruise down Loch Shiel. It must have been 10pm or so and still I had to find accommodation, by pure chance I... more

Just got back from a fantastic stay at Corriechoille Lodge. We stayed here last year, thought it was wonderful and returned - we're so glad we did and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms are very large and comfortable. The guest lounge is really relaxing especially with the log fire and great collection of books. We totally recommend... more

Isolated guesthouse with beautiful mountain views and the sound of the stream. Very peaceful. Light, simple and airy decoration. Spacious bedrooms. Very comfortable lounge, with books and games. Good dinner, light but filling (modern British?): melon and smoked venison starter, salmon with herb crust, lots of vegetables, wonderful solid cream and whisky pudding, plus good coffee with good chocolates. Friendly... more

It's been three years but I still think of Corriechoille Lodge near Spean Bridge as one of my favorite inns in the world. The surroundings are unspoiled mountains, with herds grazing nearby, but the rooms are beautifully appointed, with lovely views, bathrooms, large comfortable beds. There are "library" rooms where drinks can be served before or after dinner, board games,... more
