We were hiking the Great Glen Way and spent a glorious first day on the trek before reaching Gairlochy. We called our hosts, Teresa and Phillippe de Billot at The Braes B&B, to let them know that we had arrived at the pick-up spot so they could come and get us. Theresa showed up to whisk us the 6K to... More

Teresa and Philippe were warm and welcoming. This place had a feeling of being home from home. We had the additional benefit of more friendly guests so lots of group chit chats. Overall the feeling was comforting. We only stayed one night as we were on a packed trip hiking the Great Glen Way so didn't get a chance to... More

I stayed 4 nights at The Braes just outside Spean Bridge in august. I chose it because of the reasonable price and the location close to many tourist sightings. I was not disappointed; the host couple gave me a warm welcome on my arrival, and they were very helpful with ideas to local tours. Glen Roy close by was very... More

Superb location. Lovely shared lounge in which there were opportunities to chat over our days with both hosts and other guests, or sit quietly or watch TV. Breakfasts were delicious and cooked to order. Our room was a good size and looked out on wonderful views of the Nevis range. Phillipe couldn't have been more helpful or thoughtful. Truly generous... Stayed here with a colleague a couple of weeks ago, and had a very nice stay once I'd managed to convince the bat that was my room to leave. Very friendly hosts, and a nice breakfast, although the bed in my room could do with a new mattress.

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your 'visitor'. We do recommend that our guests keep the windows shut (and provide fans for your comfort), more to keep the midges out, but we are in the country, so are surrounded by nature. With regard to the mattress; of course - how... More

A friend and I stayed here for two nights as part of a walking tour of the Highlands. We found this B&B to be spacious, clean, and efficiently run by its friendly hosts. The breakfasts were of very high quality. We may well return.

The first thing to say about this guest house is that it offers very good value for money, far better than I found in a long time. Making up that value is the kindness, consideration and professionalism of Phillipe, the owner. The rooms have everything any reasonable person could wish for and if there is something else you require, I... More
